VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. From a cargo carrier with no windows behind the driver's seat to a windowed passenger van with three rows of seats, the possibilities seemed endless.

Classic Car Overview

HI PERF MOTOR. CUSTOM EXHAUST &
SUSPENSION EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION.

This is a sexy sports car. Very sleek Italian body design. This one has
upgrades to the suspension, significant performance improvements to the motor
and some nice visual enhancements
too. It is very well restored.

EXTERIOR: This
body is very clean and straight. I don't find any
damage or rust. Everything fits
nicely. The bright red paint is
very shiny and attractive. It does have some texture that a good wet sand and buff would take care of. It looks like almost all of the chrome and trim was replaced. It has optional
bumper guards. Windshield weather strips and silplates were replaced. New Empi
GT8rims and Virdistein tires
were installed in August 2017.

INTERIOR: It's beautiful inside too. Excellent condition
floor to ceiling including bits and pieces.
The dash area is excellent. New
wood grain applique. Upgraded
set VDO gauges. The clock was
replaced with tachometer and an oil
pressure gauge was added. I really
like the new custom Nardi wheel. On the floor it has new carpet and coco mats. Upgraded Gene Berg 12 inch shifter.
Thee-brake handle boot heaters look like new too. The upholstery door panels and headliner were replaced. It has retractable 3
point seatbelts in front. The rear seat folds flat for cargo space

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is completely restored and detailed.
Every component is rebuilt or new. The motor has
significant performance upgrades.
Originally 1600 cc now it's 1914 cc. The block was cracked so it has a new
magnesium block. Completely rebuilt, bored and balanced. New bearings, cam
lifters, chromoly push rods, rocker
shafts, high volume oil pump. New battery cables and bracket. New waffle
pattern insulation. New weatherstrip.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks brand new. It has
a new correct liner kit. The
spare rim and tire have bever been used. New set of horns.

UNDERSIDE: Upgraded suspension. Up front it has all new steering and suspension upgraded with coil
over adjustable shocks. In back it has KYB
gas shocks, custom sway bar. Stiffy 6
point support bar system. I see several parts that look new like axle shafts
and boots. New pressure plate. Custom
stainless Empi euro style muffler. Very solid overall. There's one patch.

Colors are great. The upgrades are awesome. The little things are real nice too.
