VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. Classic Car Overview

1969 TRIUMPH TR6 ROADSTER. ORIGINAL COLORS OF SIGNAL RED (CODE 32) WITH TAN TRIM (CODE 13). 4-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE, DISC WHEELS. BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED EARLY TR6 FROM THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST.

1969 Triumph TR6 convertible, finished in its original color scheme of signal red with a tan interior. These early TR6 cars were painted in signal red, which is more of a TR4A / TR250 color, making it quite handsome. This particular car has a four-speed transmission, disc wheels, and it now features an added overdrive.
The body and paint on this TR6 are spectacular, boasting one of the best-looking paint jobs seen this year. The body is in superb condition with great panel fit and a glossy, expensive paint finish. Its hard to find any issues with the paint, and even chips are barely noticeable. The gaps are nicely aligned, and the overall appearance is striking. The car retains its original color of signal red, complemented by a tan interior and a chrome luggage rack. A fresh set of new tires has just been fitted.
The windshield is in good condition, although its uncertain if it is the original one. The glass is decent, with only a few minor stone chips. The rubber trim has been renewed during the repaint, showcasing the high-quality restoration.
The interior follows the factory tan specification. The interior is in excellent condition, with a beautiful wood alloy sports steering wheel, renewed teak dashboard, and refreshed carpets. The car features a roll bar, a tan cloth soft top, and a black top boot. The trunk is filled with spare parts, books, and documentation, including a nice album and maintenance items.
The engine compartment is beautifully detailed, showcasing the original signal red paintwork. The engine runs excellent, and recent maintenance includes new heater hoses and filled brakes with silicone fluid.
The undercarriage is solid, rust-free, and in clean condition. The mileage displayed on the car is around 51,084, and while its originality cannot be confirmed, the overall condition suggests it could be original. This Triumph TR6 has been sourced from the Pacific Northwest and showcases remarkable preservation and is a highly desirable early TR6 model. A driving video will be available soon.
