1969 Pontiac LeMans GTO Clone Street Beast, Serious Power! This 1969 Pontiac LeMans is a GTO tribute (not a real 242), built to run hard and turn heads. Known lovingly as the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, its a daily driver project with serious performance upgrades and tons of potential. Under the hood is a Pontiac 406 CID engine, bored .030 over, with forged TRW pistons, a high-volume oil pump, 350 iron heads with a 3-angle valve job, 9.5:1 compression, and a Comp Cams hydraulic flat tappet cam. Its topped with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, 750 Summit 4-barrel carb, and fed by a fuel cell. Performance Features: Pontiac 406 CID V8 Forged internals Centerline double roller timing chain Hi-volume oil pump 350 heads, 3-angle valve job Edelbrock intake + Summit 750 carb Magnaflow exhaust Front disc brakes Good frame & 5 BFGoodrich tires with solid tread It was originally an A/C car, and all factory components are still in place. Interior and body need TLC, and it currently has an electrical issue causing a power drain it turns over but does not currently run. The Good: Powerful built engine Daily driven until recently Good frame All A/C parts intact Strong stance and sound The Needs: Electrical diagnosis (parasitic drain) Some TLC and cleanup to finish it right This is a great platform for someone looking to build a beast without paying GTO prices.
