Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview

For sale at REV is a 1969 Pontiac Le Mans, which has been accurately converted into a 1969 GTO "The Judge" tribute car. The car is reported to have been from California, and as such is rust-free. The undercarriage is very clean, and has a painted floor pan and frame. The body appears to be all sheet metal, with no bondo filler present. The car is painted in the factory Pontiac color for the GTO "The Judge" edition, and is a driver quality application. The rear chrome bumper is in excellent condition, with no pitting, dings, or rust. The hood was replaced with a GTO style hood, with ram air ducts and a functioning hood-mounted tachometer, as was the front valance. The original 350 was upgraded to a period-correct 400 big block V8, equipped with 1968 GTO heads and a 4-barrel carburetor. Power disc brakes are equipped in the front, with drums in the rear. The factory bench seat was replaced with a true GTO bucket-seat and center console interior. The shifter is a dual-gate unit, which would not have been available in 1969, however allows you to shift gears on demand for additional performance. While this isnt a perfect show car, it is a very presentable driver that is sure to turn heads and bring smiles. Virtually indistinguishable from an actual GTO "The Judge" car, and at a fraction of the price!
