Classic Car Overview
We just got in this beautiful and original 242 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible from a collector in Virginia who told us that the car had been FRAME-OFF restored some time ago. He said that he purchased it from the guy who did the restoration about 10 years ago. Used sparingly and stored in a climate controlled garage, it looks like it was done yesterday. Very nice !! CHECK IT OUT !!
The body appears to be all original including the 1/4s, floors, trunk & frame and all are straight, solid & clean. It was repainted in original Limelight Green Poly base/clear paint but seems to be a shade or two lighter. It still looks really good especially since we cut, buffed, polished & ceramic coated the paint. It has a new white power convertible top with boot and it works as it should and the chrome, trim, & weather stripping is new or is in like new condition. The green bucket seat interior is also in excellent, like new condition. Other than the carpets it appears to be original to the car.
Power comes from a 1970 455 c.i.d engine that runs strong and sounds awesome. It is backed by a Muncie 4 speed and 10 bolt safe-t-trac rear with 3:36 gears all are believed to be original to the car. Speaking of original, we have the numbers matching 400 c.i.d. engine that goes with the car and for a reasonable fee we can swap it out for you. Other features include, power steering, power disc brakes, hide-a-way headlights, in dash tach and gauges, tilt steering, remote mirror, original am radio and original 14 rally II wheels with B.F.G tires.
Only 2415 4 speed convertible GTOs were built in 1969 making this car pretty rare. It is P.H.S. documented and we have a stack of restoration receipts too. It is absolutely gorgeous and It runs and drives just as nice as it looks. No disappointments !!
