In the history of the autoverse, few cars inspire equal amounts of fear and respect quite like this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Fully repainted in its original Forest Green Metallic, this throwback powerhouse looks clean and straight from any angle, while its aftermarket hood, complete with an A12-spec style scooped hood and old-school locking pins, not-so-subtly reminds anyone driving ahead of this beast to get out of the way. Under that aggressively styled hood, we find a believed original 383 cubic inch Hemi V-8 that has been bored and stroked out by the drag racing legend Dennis Maurer, to a massive 426 CID. Beneath its iron heads sits a performance camshaft fed by a single Holley four-barrel carburetor, while a true dual exhaust does away with spent gases. That power is routed through a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission before reaching its 3.23-geared rear end. It is also worth noting that the owner also has the cars original four-speed transmission, which will be included in the sale.
