Classic Car Overview

Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the classic and muscle car business. By 1968 almost every domestic automobile manufacturer had at least one model intended to compete in the muscle car wars that were raging at the time. Since Pontiacs GTO had debuted in 1964, however, more options had become available, dealers loaded cars with profitable options, and prices subsequently soared. Consequently, many of the younger crowd that the cars were intended for could no longer afford them. Plymouths answer to this problem was to offer a no-frills, bench seat sedan with a strong engine and transmission at a low price. Voila! The resulting Road Runner was so successful that Plymouth had to scramble to fill nearly 45,000 first-year orders (2500 were expected!). This stunning and rare 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible is a fine example of these legendary street brawlers. Lift the functional hood and youll find the stout 383 big block V8 complete with VIN derivative. Additional features include the A833 4-speed transmission with VIN derivative, bucket seats with console, functional N96 Air Grabber hood, Sure Grip (Posi) differential, power top, and classic Redline tires (F70-14) wrapped around Magnum 500 road wheels. Documentation includes a fender tag decode by Galen Govier Services and a 17-year-old appraisal for $68K. Wile E. Coyote and Acme rocket skates not included. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
