Classic Car Overview

1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible So Plymouth created the Road Runner in 1968 to address the entry level muscle car market, we all know that. However, when they decided to take the roof off of it and make it an open car they created a sleek high performance inexpensive convertible that not only stimulates the physical aspect of a muscle car but also the classy side of cruising. Here is a fully, rotisserie restored example that is very correct has all the right stuff, is in a great color, and runs great. It looks as good underneath as on top and the topside is fabulous. The original fender tag is in place and it codes out to be very true to original. Unfortunately we have not gotten a broadcast sheet with this one. It is powered by a 383 CID V8 and 727 Torqueflite transmission along with a 3.23 rear end, this one is a riot to drive. The Bright Red paint with white power roof and black hood treatment, that includes Air Grabber Intake look fabulous on this fabulous Road Runner and it is easy to drive with power steering and the Torqueflite transmission. This great example has a very interesting history; we bought the car from the original owner that had it fully restored. He did not own the car for its entire life but he searched it out because he simply wanted it back. In the interim of his ownership the restoration was started and at some point the original VIN tag was lost, I cant explain how sorry, so it currently has an assigned VIN from the state. It does still have its original fender tag and codes out correctly other than the added AC and wheels and tires. The original owner is available if you want to speak to him. He also supplied us with an old photo from 1970 showing the car as it was when he owned it. It is not a numbers matching engine but it is an original Road Runner convertible with great options and in one of the best color combinations you could ask for. Here is an opportunity to enjoy the rewards of anothers labor without footing the bill. Features Non-Numbers 383 CID block with 335 ponies The carb is a stock Carter AFB on a correct Intake with Coyote Duster Air Grabber Setup Those horses are channeled through a Torqueflite 727 with Console Shifter The rear end is an 8 with 3.23 gear ratio The interior is true to original with White Bucket seats Comfort is enhanced with new Vintage Heat and Air Conditioning Power Steering aids in the comfortable control Stopping power is generated by standard front and rear drums< li> The wheels are fabulous 14 inch Chrysler Magnum 500 with stainless trim rings It rolls around on F70/14 redline bias ply tires In the dash is a reproduction correct Thumb Dial AM/FM radio The dash includes fuel, temp, amp, and factory tach with excellent trim and lettering The exhaust note is awesome and is generated by a full dual system that starts with headers and calls out via the box tips Finished in Bright Red with Black Performance Hood Treatment The look is accented with a chrome front and rear bumpers with dual outside rear view mirrors The power roof is like new vinyl with ad glass rear window The steering wheel is a correct 3 spoke simulated wood that is comfortable and of course the horn goes Beep-Beep The engine bay is detailed to original trim and trunk has mat, jack and spare Dont miss out on an opportunity to pick up one of the more rare body styles out there that is ready to enjoy today FENDER TAG DECODE RM27:Plymouth Belvedere,Satellite Medium, Road Runner Convertible H96: 383 330HP OR 335HP 1-4BBL 8 CYL 1969 Newark, DE, USA 129696: Sequence number E63: 383 cid 4 barrel V8 H.P. 335hp D32: Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission R6: Red Exterior Color H6W: Trim - High, Vinyl Bucket Seats, White/Black W1: White Int.
