From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Take a look at this classic 1969 Kaiser Jeep CJ5! This Jeep comes with the original Buick Dauntless V6 engine and 3-speed manual transmission. This is an original, numbers matching, one owner vehicle (I’m the 2ndowner, but for only about 7 months). The Dauntless (3.7L) V6 engine produces 155hp, but you wouldn’t be able to tell driving this. It is quick! The 4WD works perfectly and will get you anywhere you need to go easily. This is not a show car. I used it as my Sunday driver to/from the beach. It is most assuredly a head turner when you are out/about town!
2 doors, 2 seat original SUV. Vehicle was not originally purchased with a rear seat in 1969, but you can easily add a rear bench seat through any of the aftermarket retailers. Glasspack side pipe exhaust gives a nice throaty rumble.
Jeep has brand new tires, BestTop seats and soft-top. The alternator, voltage regulator and ignition system were recently replaced prior to my purchase in February 2018. The vehicle has been garage keep for the past 20+ years, and has always been extremely well maintained.
Purchased from original owner in February 2018. Since I have purchased the vehicle, I had a professional classic automotive technician send the heads out to be re-seated, and new guides installed. Milled heads and replaced one exhaust seat. New head gaskets were installed, and the carburetor was overhauled. Oil and filter were changed in April 2018. Fuel line was replaced and updated with an electric fuel pump. All paperwork is included documenting work and you can contact technician directly to verify service.
Vehicle has original matching numbers. I have the original window sticker, owner’s manual, purchase documentation, etc. Truly a gem to find a one owner original classic that is literally turnkey. Own a little piece of history today!
NADA Guidesaverage retail value is $12,150 for this vehicle. Serious buyers only please.
