Classic Car Overview

1 of 1! Non GT, non Mach 1 with an R code 428 CJ and a 4-speed! Documented with the Marti report and claimed to have 20,260 original miles. Sold new at Jasper Motors in Georgia and owned by 2 brothers until 2020. A nut and bolt concourse rotisserie restoration was finished in 2023 using NOS, dated, correct parts and correct finishes throughout. Documented with a deluxe Marti Report, original invoice and a 2 inch stack of restoration receipts! EXTERIOR: What a looker! Any 69 Fastback Mustang is gonna look good. When its Acupulco Blue with a Black shaker scoop sticking out of the hood, its going to look great! This one was taken down to a bare shell and put on a rotisserie. All the panels were painted apart in their factory born color and polished like glass. The laser straight body was then reassembled with excellent fit. All the chrome, stainless, and weatherstrips are new. All new date coded, green tinted glass. It even has correct FoMoCo headlights. It is an R code which designates it has a Ram Air scoop that displays the Cobra Jet call outs. This car was ordered with the chrome styled wheels and reproduction Goodyear Polyglass tires; they were reinstalled to keep this Mustang exactly how it left the factory. INTERIOR: Like brand new from the carpet to the headliner. The seatbelts were restored to brand new by Snake Oyl at a cost of over $1,000! The original radio was rebuilt as well. The seats were recovered and restuffed. The factory 4 speed manual shifter is exhilarating to drive while shifting the gears. It features a tachometer in the pristine dash area. All the bits and pieces have been meticulously executed with great attention to factory details. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is restored to concours condition. A completely rebuilt and balanced engine is topped off with the ram air shaker hood. Wow, freaking awesome! It has the correct carb specific for a 1970 428 with a 4-speed. The air cleaner is complete including the heat riser tube. It has a complete smog system hooked up. It has factory correct hoses and clamps, dated plug wires, correct belts, the factory inspection marks were reproduced. The battery is a reproduction Autolite, not just a topper. The horns and even the squirters are hooked up. Every component is correct and every piece is refinished to factory specs. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid, jamb and pan metal are all painted body color. The latch mechanism and weatherstrip are both new. It even has a 5th matching spare with Goodyear Polyglass tire and jack assembly. A speckled trunk mat finishes the compartment perfectly. This is a pristine trunk that is complete as it left the factory. UNDERSIDE: It is detailed as it left the factory right down to the correct assembly line markings. Everything has been painstakingly restored or refurbished with no details overlooked. It has the competition suspension. The floors are pristine metal correctly repainted with red oxide primer and blue overspray just like the factory would have done. It has a factory correct exhaust system with crossover pipe, resonators, and transverse muffler. The fuel system was replaced. The brake system was completely restored. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, it even has a Motorcraft oil filter. It has the correct top loader 4-speed trans. The tag is still attached with the correct codes. A restored drive shaft leads back to the original rear end with 3.50 Traction Lock gears. I have plenty of rotisserie restored cars, underneath this one is the best of the best! SERVICE: We closely inspected this car and fixed the horn, adjusted the door lock, repositioned the brake pedal and adjusted the steering box. They dont get any rarer than this 1 of 1 Mustang fastback! With a stunning, fresh, and highly detailed concourse restoration, this prized show pony will certainly gallop quickly out of our showroom! For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide is my professional opinion based on my experience with these vehicles.
