Classic Car Overview
Wimbledon White Rebuilt 302 V8 Holley Sniper EFI AOD Automatic Vintage Air
This 1969 Ford Bronco 4x4 is a beautifully restored and thoughtfully upgraded early Bronco finished in classic Wimbledon White over a distinctive custom interior featuring matte distressed leather and Uberkaro Plain Nature Plaid inserts.
Power comes from a freshly rebuilt 302ci Ford small-block V8 equipped with Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, upgraded electronic ignition, and ceramic-coated headers. A stainless steel 2.5-inch exhaust system gives the Bronco a strong V8 sound, while an aluminum radiator with electric cooling fans helps keep temperatures under control.
The engine is paired with an AOD electronic automatic transmission, providing the convenience of automatic shifting along with overdrive for more relaxed highway cruising. Fuel is supplied through a 23-gallon tank with an EFI-compatible fuel pump, while a 150- amp alternator and Painless Performance wiring harness support the updated electrical systems.
The four-wheel-drive system retains a classic dual-range setup, with a Ford rear axle featuring a nodular iron third member and 3.55:1 gears, along with a Dana 30 front axle.
Steering and braking have also been upgraded for improved road manners. A Borgeson power steering kit makes low-speed maneuvering easier, while Bilstein shocks help control the ride. Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes provide a significant improvement in stopping capability over the original braking system.
The exterior maintains a clean and traditional Early Bronco appearance. Wimbledon White paint is paired with a custom Stayfast brown cloth soft top, show-chrome stock-style bumpers, and Wheel Vintiques 62-Series 15x8 steel wheels painted Wimbledon White. Polished stock-style hubcaps complete the period-inspired look.
AMP automatic electronic power steps provide easier entry while remaining tucked away when not in use, and a 1.5-inch body lift gives the Bronco a slightly more purposeful stance without taking away from its classic proportions.
Inside, the matte distressed leather upholstery and plaid inserts give the cabin a warm, vintage-inspired character. German-weave brown carpeting complements the seats, while fold-and-tumble rear seating adds useful cargo flexibility.
Vintage Air climate control with updated three-knob styling provides modern heating and air conditioning, while three-point seat belts and a battery cut-off switch add useful functionality.
