Classic Car Overview

1969 DODGE CHARGER COLLECTION Welcome to Mopar Nirvana: Three 1969 Dodge Chargers, in identical Charger red paint, offered as a set for consideration by the discriminating collector. Few classic muscle cars have lived as large in the public eye as the second-generation Dodge Charger. Mythologized by the baddies in Bullitt, and then popularized by a pair of cousins never meanin no harm in Hazzard County, the wicked wedge shape of Chargers built from 1968-70 have become instantly recognizable shorthand for cool, fast, and ferocious. Benjamin Hunting, Hagerty, Your Definitive 1968-70 Dodge Charger Buyers Guide (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this historic presentation of three 1969 Dodge Chargers on a site other than GarageKeptMotors.com, its possible that youve only seen some of our many photographs of this vehicle due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 400 photographs including short walk-around-and-startup videos, please go to our main website: GarageKeptMotors.) We are honored to have been selected from among any number of potential consignment and auction sites to offer all three of these breathtaking Dodge Chargers for purchase as a set. An icon of the American muscle-car era, no car of its time was more highly sought-after than a Dodge Charger. These three icons of an era never to be repeated present a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the serious collector. To view them in the identical color under our showroom lights is both mesmerizing and memorable. What follows is our description of just one of the three Chargers, but to restate: All three deserve to remain together, and they will only be sold as a set. We cant possibly list every detail of the cars so, even with over 400 photographs, no listing description could possibly address every detail. We are confident prospective purchasers will want to view the cars in person, inspect them close up, and carefully review their extensive historical documentation. We are happy to arrange appointments to visit our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom for that purpose, by advance appointment only. _______________________________________ The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona Often called the best in NASCAR history, the Dodge Charger Daytona model, with its distinctive high rear wing and extended nose, was created specifically to meet the stock car series homologation requirement of the day. The cars radical nose reduced drag to 0.28-- impressive even 50 years later--and provided a real advantage at speed. This was the first NASCAR entry to crack the 200 mph barrier, and together with its twin, the Plymouth Superbird, racked up ten NASCAR victories over just two racing seasons. That advantage came to a quick end when the design was banned by the sanctioning body at the conclusion of the second season. The 1969 Dodge Daytona offered here in Charger red over tufted black vinyl, is powered by its original matching-numbers 440 cubic inch Magnum engine with a 4-barrel carburetor, and backed by its original console-shifted automatic transmission. The entire automobile, including its engine and transmission, has been fully and faithfully restored to museum quality. The results are evident in the more than 210 photographs available on the GarageKeptMotors website, where theres also a short walk-around-and-startup video as well. The engine note is muscle-car music to the ear! Every aspect of the car shows beautifully. Chrome, paint, interior surfaces (including the wood veneer dash and center-console trim), gauges (including the conservative 150 mph speedometer), emblems, stickers, data tags, undercarriage, and engine bay (including hoses and componentry, all in the proper finishes). No expense was spared in the renovation work. Even the Good Year Eagle racing tires and NASCAR wheels are correct for the model, with a second standard road set also included in the sale. Also part of the sale are the cars original build shee
