Classic Car Overview
We started with one of the best 69 chargers you could hope to work with, a dry one. This Charger is an original big block air conditioning power disk brake car from Arizona. Yes, the original fender tag is included with the b41 and b51 codes. It is carrying the original undercoating and the original fenders, doors and quarterpanels; the front and rear valances and part of the trunk pan were changed. This car was taken completely apart and taken down to the bare metal. Any metal that needed it was hammered back out until high build primer could make it completely straight. The only filler used was in the rear quarter to roof seams and little bit on the rear deck. (the rear valance corners were not mudded in; they were welded in and ground smooth). Car has the original grill with the original trim on it. The paint and under the hood are the magic on this car. The paint is House of Colors Lunar yellow with pearl. We still have most of a quart, but it is store bought paint which you can still buy, not a custom mix paint job. This car shines so bright in the sun if you don’t wear sunglasses you get a hot spot in your vision. The rear stripe is not a decal, we used a decal to mask off before the base yellow went on the car, then removed that decal and masked off the yellow and built up the black until it was even with the yellow before clearing over everything. We used a custom wire harness so that we could hide everything under the hood. The wiring and plumbing are kept as tight as possible to the engine. The vintage air compressor is slung low and the upper radiator hose is inch and a half stainless pipe custom fitted and polished to shine. The headers are Headman elites and they were jet coated. The air cleaner was from a 68 non air car and was cleaned and professionally chromed. Most of the front suspension was powder coated. Inside, sound deadener was installed 100 percent from the top of the firewall to the trunk. It has new carpet, new headliner, new gauges and new dash plates, the seats and door panels are in good original condition. We found a NOS heater delete plate and hid the AC controls in the console. Just put on brand new Riddler wheels and Nitto 555 tires. Not numbers matching engine but is it a 383 car with a 383 engine in it with 3” stainless exhaust. 2,200 miles since restored. $56,750
