Classic Car Overview

Largely considered the best Dodge Charger in terms of styling and performance, the 1968-1970 version of Dodges musclecar has long held undeniable appeal. Available with up to 426- and 440-cubic inches of pavement-melting V8, the second-generation Charger was certainly able to back up its muscular looks.

Here we have a 1969 Dodge Charger that sports the rarely seen, factory White Hat Special package, which bundled a vinyl top, hood-mounted turn signal indicators, remote-controlled sideview mirror, full wheel covers, a light group and a wood-grained sport steering wheel. In addition to that package, this Charger also left the factory with power steering, bucket seats with center armrest, AM radio and 3-speed windshield wipers. It was also born wearing the rare and beautiful Bright Turquoise Metallic (code Q5) exterior color, which is sharply accented with a Black vinyl roof and interior. This is all verified via the included build sheet as well as documentation by noted expert Galen Govier.

Starting with this already rock solid (claimed all original sheet metal) Charger, the former, fanatical (in the best way) owner then spent close to $80,000 taking it to a whole nother level via the restomod treatment. The body was treated to a very high-quality respray in the original color while the interior was restored as needed for a factory fresh look and feel. A Tic-Toc-Tac (factory combination tachometer and clock) was added, as was a Classic Auto Air air-conditioning system.

Under the long hood where originally a 318 V8 resided is now a thundering 440 Magnum V8 teamed up to a beefed-up Torqueflite automatic transmission. A lengthy spreadsheet details the incredible build, showing the various components and costs. Highlights include a professionally prepped 1968 440 short block, Edelbrock aluminum heads. Comp Cams camshaft, a Holley carb, dual exhaust with factory polished tips, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, sub-frame connectors, Borgeson steering box, Auburn limited slip differential (3:23 rear gear) and 15-inch, one-piece Cragar S/S wheels wearing BFG T/As.

A multiple AACA Senior level car, this incredible Charger restomod must be seen and heard in person to be believed. And its performance is nothing short of thrilling. With restomods like this selling for over $100,000, this is a very strong value. Financing is offered through our approved lender, trades are welcome and enclosed shipping can be arranged.
