Classic Car Overview

This 1969 Chevrolet C10 Suburban underwent a custom build in 2021 that included a conversion to four-wheel drive using axles sourced from a Ford F-Series Super Duty, as well as the installation of a 5.3L Vortec V8, a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission, and a twin-stick dual-range transfer case. A torque arm suspension setup and Fox front coilovers have also been added along with Hydroboost brakes and 17? beadlock-capable wheels with 37? tires. The truck has been repainted white with gold bumpers, and the interior features brown vinyl upholstery, air conditioning, LED lighting, an aftermarket stereo system, and Dakota Digital gauges.Chrome-finished 17? KMC Grenade Crawl beadlock-capable wheels wear 37×12.5? Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. The front and rear axles were reportedly sourced from a 2008 Ford F-Series Super Duty pickup and feature a torque arm setup along with Fox 2.5 coilovers with remote reservoirs up front and Bilstein shocks out back. Dual Fox steering stabilizers have also been fitted, and the brake system utilizes a hydroboost kit.The bench seats have been reupholstered in brown vinyl with diamond-pattern stitching on the backs. Matching upholstery extends to the door panels and aftermarket center console, which houses a cupholder, twin stick transfer case shifters, and a Memphis Audio graphic equalizer. Black carpets have been installed in addition to wood-look flooring in the cargo area and a suede headliner. Additional amenities include LED lighting, an Old Air air conditioning system, and a digital vintage-look radio wired to JL Audio amplifiers and B2 subwoofers housed in a custom wood enclosure out back. The aftermarket wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column with an NRG hub and frames Dakota Digital instrumentation that consists of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The speedometer reportedly requires calibration, and the digital odometer shows zero miles. Total mileage is unknown. The 5.3-liter Vortec V8 was installed during the build and features a Vortec 6000 engine cover. Cooling is through an aluminum radiator with electric fans, and an aluminum fuel cell has been added. Work in preparation for the sale reportedly included replacing the alternator, charging the air conditioning system, and performing a tune-up.Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed 4L80E automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The frame was powder coated during the build.Home of the $5,000 test drive! Visit us at www.billpenneytoyota.com or come by and see us for details.
