1969 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport - ALMOST PERFECT! Originally a 396 4spd car. Car was completely redone from top to bottom over past several years. NOTHING LIKE IT! Details as follows:
Update - someone asked why the floor mat looks dirty. The 80/20 loop carpet is brand new. that is just an old floor mat I use to protect the carpet. I should have taken it out before I took photos. Also, the red light under the dash near console is the line lock light. And yes, the vinyl top is new too. The last photo shows the fat mat installed (looks like tin foil but its a thick self adhesive material almost like heavy weight tar paper). This made a huge difference keeping heat and noise out of the car.
496 Big Block (that's a 454 bored and stroked). Print specs indicated close to 700HP. If you dyno it, I am confident you will be around 575 +/- hp and torque at rear wheels. Due to the custom cam, the engine pulls from about 1200 rpm all the way to 5500. It redlines in that 5800-6000 range.

The car literally handles better than most new production vehicles and it hooks up surprisingly well with no wheel hop.

front and back over-sized drilled and slotted disc brakes with new master cylinder, assist, and proportioning valve
custom 18" corvette rally wheels (biggest wheel/tire combo that will fit without rubbing)
resto-mod stereo unit that looks like factory but has bluetooth and hands free calling! Also has all new rockford fostgate speakers and amplifier. Nothing excessive, just clear sounding.
Custom chromalusion Burt Orange Prizm flip-flop paint (looks maroon or deep sunburst depending on light). Fiberglass true cowl hood.
interior completely redone with reclining bolstered seats made to look like proper vintage. Also have original buckets in very good condition that you could put in. Fat Mat was installed from the interior quarters all the way to the floor boards to reflect heat and cancel any noise from vibrations /etc...
This was an original console gauge car. New console and white face gauges installed. also have original gauges with black face. Phantom tach on the column and factory in-dash tachometer.
Obviously there is more than this list of things replaced or redone on the such as radiator shroud, headliner, headlights, horn relay, energy suspension motor mounts and trans mount, etc... I think you get the picture. My dad just finished this about a month ago. This was a 2 year project and the car was put together by several local pro's. Unfortunately, due to a knee injury last year, he can no longer drive stick shift or sit comfortably for extended periods of time. He has almost $80k invested. You will not find a car this nice, with this all around drive train and suspension performance AND with all the "bugs" worked out for this price. For example, the "key buzzer" and low fuel light actually work. This is a car you buy and drive.
Will consider trade for new style camaro convertible, Mercedes SL 65 or SL 63, and possibly a newer corvette although I think that will be too low to the ground for him. My dad is looking for a higher horsepower 2 door convertible because it is easy for him to get in and out of. Also have a complete 396 and muncie 4 spd if you wanted to convert the car back to stock.
