Classic Car Overview

63,498 actual miles. Alabama car. This is a really clean, honest Corvette with some restoration and a lot of good original integrity. Rare gunmetal interior. Has air conditioning, power steering and power disc brakes. Has original window sticker, dealer folder, protect-o-plate, manual and more. EXTERIOR: This Vette presents itself really well. The body is outstanding. Everything fits real nice, the body gaps are tight. Even around the wiper door the fit is good. It has had 1 repaint in its original Cortez silver. The metal flake laid out evenly, has an smooth shiny finish. There are a few nicks and touch ups. Door jambs are nice and look like they have original paint, newer weatherstrips. The bumpers shine bright but arent new. Stand back and look at the front and back, the bumpers and grills align. It even has the splash shields protecting the headlights. Of course the T-tops are removable and the rear window pops out. Has 15 inch Rally wheels, trim looks new. The BFG tires are new. INTERIOR: When the seller sent me pictures I thought the interior was faded black. I was pleasantly surprised in person to see it is the rare gunmetal. Very sharp, better looking then the pictures make it. Inside is in real nice unabused condition. The seats still have good cushion and upholstery is very nice. The door panels are in really very nice shape. Gauges, knobs, heater controls all look great. Original Am-Fm radio, no cut up speaker holes. Clock has quartz movement. In back it has the set-top bags and storage compartment for the rear window. It has optional headrests and deluxe seat belts. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s match 350-300 hp. Very original with some clean up and maintenance. It still has its originalair cleaner, ignition shielding manifolds etc. #s match carb, original distributor is internally upgraded with electronic ignition. Alternator was replaced. Wires, vacuum hoses, fan shroud, fuel filter all look proper. The factory air conditioning system has been retrofitted with R134 freon. UNDERSIDE: It is proper and respectable underneath. Not painted and detailed but everything looks the way it should. Upfront the bushings and shocks look recent. In back the spring and bushings have been replaced. The spare tire carrier is there. Exhaust looks good, E-brake is hooked up. It has turbo 400 automatic trans. Has 3.08 posi rear. Frame and fiberglass floors are in good original shape. The current owner has had the car 8 years. It still had original exhaust which he replaced. The prior owner had it 10 years and only put 1,700 miles on it. I tried to find out how rare the interior is. On online Corvette blogs a lot of people said they have never seen one, I know I havent. Its a good survivor Vette!
