Classic Car Overview

This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was acquired by the previous owners uncle in 2005, and a subsequent refurbishment spanning over 20 years was recently completed. It is powered by a LS7 454ci crate V8 linked to a Muncie M22 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt PosiTraction rear end with 4.11:1 gears, and equipment includes an Edelbrock intake, a solid-lifter camshaft, long-tube headers, and HEI-style ignition. The body was stripped and refinished in Azure Turquoise with white stripes following body repairs and fitment of a replacement hood, and the interior was re-trimmed in black vinyl upholstery. Air conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, and a Hurst shifter were also specified during the build. The body was refinished in Azure Turquoise during the refurbishment, and white stripes accent the bodysides. Details include SS emblems, a twin-dome hood, dual side mirrors, and a black-finished grille and taillight panel.
