Cool Classics: Chevrolet Chevelle

Chevrolet introduced the Chevelle in 1963 as a 1964 model. Though quite large by today's standards, it was classified as a midsize car. What wasn't midsize was the level of passion garnered from the very beginning, a passion that has continued for decades.

Classic Car Overview

Same owner since 1996! Professionally built performance 468 engine! Originally purchased at Parkland Chevrolet in North Carolina, this classic has an impressive paper trail including the original build sheet, invoice, and window sticker to document its history. We have pictures of the build too. Born a Malibu sport coupe the car has been completely rebuilt and adorned with SS trim. If youre looking for a stylish and stout performer that wont break the bank, give this 69 Chevelle a long hard look! EXTERIOR: Sharp with the perfect stance! The Fathom Green paint was nicely laid out and polished to a smooth and reflective finish. The vinyl roof is in excellent condition. All the panels are nicely aligned, and the doors close easily with minimal effort. The chrome bumpers and polished trim pieces all have a beautiful shine to them. The glass appears to be mostly original and in good shape. It now has a blacked out SS front grille, blacked out SS rear panel and SS 396 badges. Its sitting on a pretty set of 17 American Racing chrome Torque Thrust II wheels wrapped in Nitto radial tires that were recently replaced. INTERIOR: Beautifully refurbished interior! The headliner does not sag and the dash pad is not cracked. The door panels were replaced as well as the carpeting. The automatic shifter is a real cool manual look alike. Reupholstered bench seat so you can get nice and close to your sweetheart. Seatbelts front and back so you can take the entire family for a cruise. Digital stereo fits in the factory hole and has upgraded 6x9 speakers in the custom bowtie rear shelf. A triple gauge cluster helps to precisely monitor the engine vitals and a controller for the Holley fuel injection are both neatly mounted under the dash. The gauges and bezel are in fantastic shape plus an AutoMeter monster tach with built in shift light is a very practical upgrade. Equipped with a tilt column and billet bowtie steering wheel. The dome light and glove box light are both working as well. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Highly upgraded and nicely dressed! The 468 V8 was professionally built by Staley Performance Engines. Its a 454 is bored .030 over and has many upgrades including Richard Petty Heads and Keith Black pistons. A Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system provides thought free reliability. Its flanked by a set of long tube Hooker headers. Upgraded MSD digital ignition system and a matching distributor. The bay is handsomely dressed in an open element K&N air filter, polished hi-rise Weiand intake manifold, chrome Moroso valve covers, billet spark plug holders, chrome alternator, chrome power steering pump, and chrome master cylinder/booster. The battery is properly secured and the squirters are hooked up. The hood latch mechanism and hinges were replaced with nice chrome pieces and the underside of the hood is complete with insulation. The original cowl tag is in place. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the lid and inside the jamb have neatly been repainted Fathom Green. Reproduction stickers were added and the weatherstrip was replaced. Inside is the motor for the upgraded power antenna and multi disc cd changer. All the metal is solid and rust free with a durable spatter finish paint. UNDERSIDE: Nicely restored with upgrades! The suspension was rebuilt with tubular control arms plus the shocks and springs were replaced. The front sway bar has fresh bushings. It also has big block rear springs. The front brakes are discs and the rear are drums. Long tube headers lead to a full dual exhaust system complete with O2 sensor, Flowmaster mufflers and polished chrome tips. The gas tank was replaced and it has fresh lines too. Looking up at the performance built 468 behemoth it has vibrant Chevy orange paint. The Turbo 400 automatic transmission has a chrome scatter shield and a ribbed aluminum pan. A 12 bolt rear end with 3.73 gearing and a chrome cover puts the power to the pavement. The floors are nice and solid with a good coat of satin black paint. SERVICE: Our shop manager thoroughly inspected this car and we only needed to repair the headlight wiring. It was extremely dialed in! Stop, drop and roll down the street in this iconic muscle car! It was built to be driven and enjoyed; I completely understand why the last owner kept it for 28 years. Come test drive it for yourself and youll understand too! For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide is my professional opinion based on my experience with these vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase the car and share our teams insights. Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be refunded, and youll receive a one-year museum membership. 815 385 3644 9-5 central Sales@volocars.com Answered ASAP Fuel Injected Power steering Power disc brakes 3.73 12 bolt rear Digital stereo Tilt column Billet wheel Tachometer Chrome rims SS Trim Dual exhaust Vinyl roof Power antenna
