Classic Car Overview

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Tribute For consignment, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro showing 313 miles, but the true miles are unknown. Of all the 201 true Yenko Camaros, the very first one was LeMans Blue and used by Don Yenko himself, although that unit, interestingly, had black stripes over the blue, and currently resides at the Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, Florida. Exterior The LeMans Blue paint is in beautiful condition and sports some correct Yenko stickers in the form of a Yenko triangle on the front of the hood, and dual racing stripes going to the windshield, ending on cowl induction. A triple threat white side spear sticker, starting at the front quarter, and racing rearward widens at the rear quarter with more Yenko badging, ending after turning upward and even capping the rear spoiler. Chrome bumpers are excellent, badging is correct and a nicely restored egg crate grille has single headlights on either corner. A black chin spoiler is also on front below the bumper while in back, three section tail lights hover over straight polished exhaust tips. 15-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels complete the package with staggered size tires. Imperfections include just a few bubbles in the paint down low. Interior Nice ribbed black door panels have shiny cranks and a nifty rectangular Camaro badging in the center. Beautiful buckets, draped in ribbed black vinyl, have the essential sYc badging on the headrests while the rear bench presents cleanly. A three spoke steering wheel fronts the simple dual square instrument cluster while woodgrain accents the mid panel and center console where we find the Hurst shifter in its shiny glory just behind the quad gauge cluster notably present on performance oriented Camaros. To the drivers right is a newer AM/FM/Cassette radio, and vertical mounted climate sliders. Newer black loop carpet is in great shape topped by Yenko branded mats and the black headliner is high and tight. All very clean and plenty of attention to have everything looking very original. Drivetrain Show ready and clean is the 427ci V8 under hood, enhanced with a Comp Cam Grind CB292H-10 with .550 lift and .244 duration. A Demon 4-barrel carb tops the Offenhauser intake and a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission sends power to the 12 bolt axle with 4.10 gears and Positraction. Power brakes are supplied as front disc and rear drum with a new booster and brake lines added. A four core radiator is also newer. Undercarriage Super clean underneath with no rust of any kind and only some residual oil on the pans. The clean dual exhaust system flows through chambered mufflers and exists through steel tailpipes. Suspension consists of coil springs up front and leaf springs in the rear still sporting their directional stickers. Drive-Ability The 427 emits an impressive exhaust note and as we hit the test loop, we notice a slight miss in the engine. We complete the loop where the car otherwise tracks straight and handles well, lacking any creaking or squeaking youd normally expect from a 1969 car, this one is tight. The center gauge cluster has not been hooked up yet so the gauges there dont work. In addition, the radio and reverse lights fail to work. Beyond that, all remaining functions operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. A nice tribute to one of the most legendary muscle cars in the history of the world is now available at Classic Auto Mall. Real Yenkos are nearly unobtanium and tributes are not only desirable but respected in the Camaro world. This is no faux-rarri but a real 1969 Camaro with some serious hardware and a fantastic coat of blue! 123379N696498 1-Chevrolet 23-Camaro 6 Cylinder 37-2 Door Hardtop Sport Coupe 9-1969 N-Norwood, OH Assy Plant 696498-Sequential Unit Number TRIM TAG ST 69 12437-1969 Camaro 2 Door Hardtop Sport Coupe BDY NOR140574-Norwood Body # TR 723-Midnight Green Standard Vinyl Buckets PNT 59E-Frost Green, Parchment Roof 10A-1st Week October X44-Non SS/Non Z28 Classic Auto Mall is home to more than 1,000 classic and collectible vehicles for sale via consignment in a climate controlled 336,000-square foot showroom (thats more than 8 acres!).
