Classic Car Overview
EXTERIOR: Mostly original paint! All original body panels, frame components, floor pans and trunk pan with no damage. It fits like a new car - very straight. The factory pinch welds are still showing around the wheel wells and the lower body perimeter. Beautiful Lemans Blue with no vinyl top. It shows really well with just enough patina to make it look both special and authentic. It would be very hard to find another 69 Camaro with original paint that looks this good. The original chrome and trim look really nice, with some freckling on the bumpers. No pitting, these could easily be rechromed if you didn't want the patina. New 350 emblems and side marker light frames. Very clear original glass. Custom LED headlights with light bar. Excellent condition chrome rally wheels: 15x8s in back, 15x7s in front wrapped in new BFG sneakers.
INTERIOR: Mostly original interior in excellent shape. The instrument bezels, knobs, vents are mint. It has a new dash pad to accommodate the newly added a/c. It has updated electric slide heater controls. A factory tachometer was installed. A retro stereo fits in the factory hole and upgraded Rockford Fosgate speakers are installed in the rear deck. An auxiliary gauge cluster was neatly added under the dash. Upgraded 3 point retractable seat belts in front. A custom steering wheel and center console were added. Mint original upholstery, rear seat belts, headliner, door panels, floor mats etc.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is an X-44 and the original 307 was replaced with a Blueprint crate 383 stroker motor dyno tuned at 440 hp and 486 lbs of torque. It has aluminum heads and intake, dual feed Holley carb with electric choke, new HEI ignition, coated shorty headers. The front of the motor has an $1,800 March billet pulley system and bracket. It has a serpentine belt, polished a/c compressor, polished Power Master alternator. It also features power steering and brakes. New BeCool aluminum radiator with electric fan. Vintage Air heat and air conditioning system. It is a very neat installation, show quality.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Wow, factory spatter paint that still looks new! Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy, original sticker. Weatherstrip is soft. The mat fits like a glove. Looks like an original tire for a spare.
UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension is all new. Shocks replaced at all 4 corners. Upgraded in back with traction bars and a swaybar. Rebuilt brake system, new e-brake system. New drums in back, upgraded to disc in front. New e-brake assembly. Custom Pypes 2.5 inch polished stainless exhaust system with a Race Pro muffler. New fuel tank, straps and sending unit. Looking up at the motor it looks new because it is! It has a high torque starter. Rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic with upgraded torque converter to handle the increased power of the 383. New 3.73 posi rear. Rust free all original floors.
This is truly a rare find! An 11,000 original mile Camaro is almost unbelievable. This one comes with plenty of documentation to back it up too. I will exercise the car every so often to keep it running in top condition, so mileage will go up slightly. This is a great car for either a collector or for someone who wants to just jump in and drive it anywhere. This will win local car shows and has a great story to go along with it.
I encourage you to watch the Volo video, the car has 1,000 more miles on it, but I'll bet it looks just as good as it did at Volo, but runs even better now. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNsp66cL_m4
I've included detailed videos of the car exterior, interior, undercarriage and trunk - - which I took on January 17th. If you need any more information or photos or videos, please let me know.
The only reason I am looking to sell the car is that I have an opportunity to buy a numbers matching '69 Z28, which has always been a dream of mine. If that doesn't work out, I'll keep this beauty. If the ad is up, the car is still for sale.
