1988-1992 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE: The Original Factory Racer

With all the hoopla surrounding the new Camaro 1LE, let's look back at the original.

Classic Car Overview

1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS ZL-1 Replica built by Spencer Weatherall Restorations in 2009-2010. The restoration started with a rust free Arizona car which was striped down to bare metal and media blasted inside to outside including the firewall, floor pans, trunk pan, subframe and rear frame rails. After that the entire suspension was replaced with all new parts from the drum brakes in the rear to the power front disc brakes up front. The body is finished in GM Hugger Orange with a black vinyl top. 4 months ago I had the car wet sanded and ceramic coated to give it the beautiful shine it has. The interior is all new with Black/Grey houndstooth interior. Again, everything on the inside is new for the most part including the windows, trim, door panels and more. The engine block is an all aluminum 427 ZL-1 created from the original GM ZL-1 mold. The casting # is 3946053 where the original is a 3946052. I choose to increase the CID to 496 utilizing an aftermarket crank/rods and pistons. A set of NOS 3946074 aluminum cylinder heads were used that have been ported and polished for maximum performance. I used a hydraulic roller was used for efficiency and reliability. A factory intake manifold(3933198) and a factory correct Holley 850 CFM carburetor(4296) sit on top. A factory curved neck 4 core radiator keeps it cool cruising down the road. It has the factory correct exhaust manifolds that come with it but I swapped them out for a nice, custom exhaust system including 2 1/2" headers and a full 3" exhaust out the back. This engine produced 615 HP on the engine dyno. I installed a 4L80E 4 speed transmission with electronic overdrive for the nice cruises on the freeway. A factory 12 bolt rear end houses a set of 3.73 gears. Factory 15X7 Rally Wheels wrapped in BFG tires roll the streets.

Please look at all the pictures included and ask questions as I am sure I missed something. I strongly suggest any potential by inspects the car and not do a sight unseen purchase opening up a slew of unnecessary complaints of it not being as advertised. I request due diligence by any potential buyer so we can have a smooth and satisfactory transaction. I have only put around 2000 miles on the car in 13+ years so it doesn't get out much but is well maintained like all of my cars.

For an additional purchase price to be offered to the buyer 1st is a 1969 ZL-1 CE 3946052 Aluminum Engine block, crank, rods, pistons(aftermarket), aluminum cylinder heads 3936074, 3933163 factory intake manifold and a 4296 Holley 850 CFM carburetor. Engine is fresh from the machine shop and ready to assemble with the addition parts needed. Does not have a camshaft, lifters or push rods. If buyer passes on the spare engine, it will be for sale to anyone else.

The 1969 RS ZL-1 Replica is an outstanding example of the beauty that cars possessed over 50 years ago.

My car is for sale and not on sale so please only serious inquiries.

Please, I don't need help selling my car so if you are a broker, don't waste my time. This also goes for scammers, just move along please.
