Classic Car Overview

Classic & Non Modified 1969 Z 28 MUSCLE Car Overview

 PRIVATE SELLER

Original California Car now located in Florida.

This is an original and real 1969 Z 28 Camaro with the correct coded DZ 302 motor and M22 rock crusher trans;  (NOT a numbers matching drivetrain , correct date block and trans were replaced , rear end original) with trim plate on firewall intact and legible.  VIN # 124379L502390

Mileage is only 15,717. (as of March 31, 2019) Iconic Hugger Orange with White Stripes Standard Black Interior. The condition is what Hagerty Valuations describes as Excellent. There is nothing fake on this Camaro, nothing!

The car sat for decades and a complete frame off rotisserie restoration was performed. A real frame off, not partway.  Every original part we could use was used and put back on the completed vehicle. Some parts obviously deteriorate over 50 years and were replaced with factory spec parts, as well as a few minor repo trim parts. Meticulous care was taken to be as exact as possible during the build. ((It was first purchased by a worker at the GM assembly plant in Van Nuys and titled in California.)), (we have the Original California license plate). We tried our best , but no 50-year-old car is perfect.

A complete build record was kept throughout the multi-year restoration process. The cowl tag is visible and can be authenticated. Copies of the title and registration are available. The mileage was authenticated by a car dealer and the local Brevard County Florida Sheriff.

The car was first entirely disassembled and all parts tagged and bagged. Next, we had the body and frame media blasted. The body had shown no accidents and very minor rust in a few places which were repaired seamlessly. The frame and all inner fenders were powder coated matte black. The body inner shell was painted the original GM “Rust Brown”.  The body was then placed on a rotisserie frame to complete all pre-paint detail.  Manual steering and stock suspension. Front discs only.

The original color is Hugger Orange (H72) with White Stripes, the epitome of a Z28. The body was prepped and painted with one-layer undercoat, five coats base and three coats clear. Paint date December 2018. Body and panels straight with correct gaps. The trunk is painted with the correct Aqua Green and Black spackle paint. Hurst shifter for the 4 speed.

The Classic GM design lines are accented by all the correct Z/28 features, including the cowl induction hood, deep front air dam, and full-width rear spoiler, and while the dual white streaks are iconic on Camaros, collectors know that only real Z/28s like this one earned those stripes. The same goes for the larger 15-inch x 7 Rally wheels and correct caps and rings. Tires are BF Goodrich radial TA 235/60 R15. We put on the Goodrich TA because they look better than the original spec tires. Ride height is correct.

The engine was completely disassembled and all parts checked for wear, and then rebuilt to factory specs. All engine and drivetrain parts are either original or NOS. We bored the motor to 0.060 over. Two angle valve job done. The block is part # 3956618, Heads are #3927186 Double Hump with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves. Carb is the correct Holley 4053 780 CFM, Aluminum Manifold #3932472, non dripper valve covers, 1178 forged crank and Pink Rods. Coil, distributor, water pump, flywheel, harmonic balancer and other parts are NOS. Radiator upgraded to three core, and exhaust is stock cast iron headers (coated to prevent rust), and correct chambered dual exhaust. All suspension and brake components to factory spec., and all parts are new. All wiring in completed car is new. The car idles strongly at about 800 rpm.

The rear end is 12 bolt 4.10 Posi.. The motor has less than 150 miles since rebuild, not even broken in! Motor oil is 10/30 organic and uses 93 Octane non ethanol fuel.

The Standard Black interior has been completely replaced and it comes with the original Rosewood steering wheel, center console and four-gauge pack. All gauges and clock work.

The radio has been replaced with a Retro Sound Hermosa with old school look but with all the modern technology accouterments like Bluetooth etc. Two 6x9 speakers in the rear package tray.  Hidden amplified antenna. All the wiring was replaced as well.

The car sits in my garage in Florida and is driven for a few miles every week or so to maintain engine and fuel system.

The car is driveaway ready for its next owner. Please look at the images.

If you wish to make a sincere offer, the ability to pay has to be shown.  The car is garaged in Viera Florida 32940. Contact Alex :
