1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS
Wilton, IA 52778
With all the hoopla surrounding the new Camaro 1LE, let's look back at the original.
The story of the ZL1 Camaro, fitted with that rarest of the rare, all-aluminum 427 big-block V-8, is one that has often been told: How only 69 were made, how they exploited the GM option-ordering system, and how they've become the Camaro guy's ultimate Camaro.
Classic Car Overview
True American Muscle, grabbing every gear will make you smile. My dad and I purchased this car a few years back. We are selling our 1969 SS Camaro. This is a true X66 car which is base Camaro with SS 396 package along with rear fender louvers, black rear panel, and black body sill. We have the Protect-o-Plate and some documentation that came with the car. The restoration was done around 2007 2008. All original sheet metal still on the car and in great shape. The car does not have the original 396, but it is a 396(block is from 67 Chevelle) (hp unknown). It does break the tires in every gear. Running with 3.55 gears match to the factory manual 4 speed. The white interior and Garnet Red is correct correct to the car along with the hockey stripes.
You will notice the attention to detail during the restoration to preserver the Red primer on the frame. This would have been done at the factory.
We did add correct date power steering and a center force clutch for better drivability. The original steering box will go with the car.
There are no rust or mechanical issues with the car.
We are asking $43,500 obo. The car is located in Iowa.
