Classic Car Overview

1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 $89,900

Whiteland, IN Blue · 8 Cylinder · 5,000 miles
1969 Chevrolet Pro Touring Camaro Z28 Engine: LS3 525HP V8 Transmission: Tremac 5-Speed Manual Mileage: 5000 Miles on Build VIN: 124379N666677 Exterior Color: LeMans Blue w/Black Stripes Interior Color: Black Vinyl Bucket Seats Power Steering Wildwood Power Disc Brakes Cold Vintage Air Conditioning Flowmaster Dual Exhaust Recent Frame-off Restoration Engine Replaced in the Last Year Complete Stack of Receipts from Restoration and Engine Build Presented here is a 1969 Chevrolet Pro Touring Camaro Z28 that had a frame-off restoration in 2010 and engine upgrade and swap in 2015, which includes receipts for the frame-off restoration and the engine. For a car to be truly desirable, the presentation must be founded on quality mechanicals. We certainly can attest to that, this Z28 has the merit to back up its presence thanks to a crate LS376/525, a tough Tremec 5-speed and a list of updated items. Body work and trim are the beneficiary of a frame-off restoration that was completed in 2010. The Z28 is the product of filler-free, all-original sheet metal and a lot of time spent sweating the details. With its straight panels, this car has a rock-solid body that displays immaculate craftsmanship. Not surprisingly, every seam on this mean street machine has been aligned to better-than-factory fit. When you step close to the car's slick paint, you'll find flat surfaces that have travelled mere break-in miles since they were professionally rebuilt. Ultimately, it all adds up to one very impressive classic that looks right at home at summertime car shows or cruise-ins! In the collector car world, the key to attaining great presence is taking something familiar and freshening it just enough to create a lasting impression. In other words, the idea is to take someone who's seen hundreds of '69 Camaros and give them definitive reasons to specifically remember this car. Those reasons begin with a Flat Black grille, which accents the headlights above a mirrored image of the bright chrome bumper, clear parking lamps and a sharp Pro Touring chin spoiler. At the top of that grille, a clean smooth header leads the eye to a cowl induction hood sporting the 302 badging, polished wipers and glass that's framed in straight chrome trim. Below the hood, the car's smooth profile has correct mirrors, traditional door handles and standard rocker trim between polished drip rails and fenders. At the rear of the Z28, a shaved valance hangs taillights between a second chrome bumper and traditional deck spoiler. The Z28 has all the correct and original badges. Raise the cowl induction hood and you'll find 6.2 liters of power! This crate motor is officially known as a Chevrolet Performance LS376, that crate engine pumps a respectable 10.7 to 1 compression into 525 horsepower and 475 lb./ft. of everyday torque. And despite consistently delivering track-blistering, low-end performance, it revs to 6,600 RPM! Up top, a custom air tube and reusable filter element funnel wind into a factory throttle body and familiar K & N Performance intake system. That air pumps fuel in rectangular-port heads. A black polished Dewitts high performance aluminum radiator sits between two SPAL high performance fans. The modern small block is matched to a Tremec 5-speed. This transmission was sourced from American Powertrain in 2015. Under the driveline, the suspension rolls Detroit Speed coil springs in front of relocated Detroit Speed leaf springs, DSE shocks and Detroit Speed mini tubs. At the corners of that first-class suspension, Wilwood calipers squeeze big drilled and slotted rotors. Modern power steering makes good use of a high-quality Flaming River gearbox. Exhaust flows through the galvanized pipes that feed the Flowmaster mufflers. Power meets the pavement through polished Grip Forged wheels, which spin two 245/40 ZR18 Michelins in front of two 335/30ZR18 Michelins. And the car's clean, body-matched floors highlight top-notch finishing components like a custom fuel tank, stainless fluid lines, as well as a custom oil pan and Detroit Speed sub-frame connectors. Inside the Z28, traditional Chevrolet style plays well with a few choice upgrades, such as front and center traditional bucket seats. In front of the seats, a wood-trimmed dash features the standard working Camaro style gauges below the Vintage Air climate control. At the base of the dash, fresh carpet flows around billet foot pedals with color-keyed floor mats. A factory console with the Z28 gauges for battery, temperature, fuel and oil pressure and also frames a modified shifter. At the edges of the carpet, Deluxe door panels perfectly complement a factory-spec headliner. In front of the driver, a stylish steering wheel spins a thick padded rim around a tilting column. And behind the passenger’s seat, is a clean trunk with a fresh correct mat inside. When you take a drive to a car show or for a spin you will have many turning heads checking out this well-built Z28. When you raise the 302 badged hood the jaws will drop when they see the modern day polished crate LS3 engine! Please call or email with any questions!
