1969 Chevy C-20 Longbed

Originally built in Tarrytown, NY this truck has always been in Durham, CT.

The current, 2nd owner, found her sitting on the farm she was purchased to work on several years ago. Not a big fan of the short bed/fleetside look, this longbed stepside was right up his alley. He took the truck home and started a complete, frame off restoration/slight modification of the truck and despite her stock appearance is really a sleeper resto-mod. Originally equipped with a straight 6, she's now running a thoroughly built 4 bolt main 350 V8. Alumicote headers, 3" stainless exhaust, Weiand polished, high-rise intake, roller rockers, Holley 4 bbl double pumper, Accel HEI distributor, MSD ignition putting out close to 360HP through a slightly tweaked and rebuilt 700R4 OD auto transmission with an in cab adjustable stall speed adjustment. That runs the power out through the original Eaton rear end.

With the body off, the frame and suspension were attacked and new shocks, springs and bushings were installed, the entire frame/suspension was stripped, dipped POR15'd and then painted. All new gas lines, brake lines and all the drum brakes were replaced. It runs power drum brakes and power steering.

The body went through the same, with new fenders, entirely stripped, dipped and painted in a two stage base/clear coat original red color. The paint alone (with reassembly of the body included) was over $19,000.

On the interior, the original bench seat was reupholstered in a stock color/vinyl but red piping was added. A tilt steering column was also installed along with insulation and the stock rubber matting on the floor. In the bed a diamond plate aluminum sheet was painted a gloss battleship grey and installed.

All this was done only about 500 miles ago (although it has been roughly two years since). Hence the reason why he's letting her go. With several other cars in the stable, this one isn't getting the attention she deserves so it's time to move her on to someone who will use her as intended.

This truck is absolutely stunning and in near mint condition. She sounds great, starts immediately, runs and drives great.. as well as a truck would drive in 69.

In essence this is a new 1969 Chevrolet C-20 Longbed truck.
