VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. Classic Car Overview

Price slashed! This 40k original mile 1968 Subaru 360 was the companys first entry to the U.S. market. This car was donated by a Subaru dealer to a Central California golf tournament; the winners wife didnt want a golf cart. The car was sold that day to a Petaluma man, who owned it for 46 years, driving it over 39k miles and then selling it to a Subaru dealer in Sonora, CA.The 360 was the Subarus first successful car; it fit the K-class mold (for Japanese tax incentives) with its four-person capacity, air-cooled, 356cc, two-cylinder, two-stroke, 25hp engine and 117.9-inch overall length. Subaru did not have an American presence until 1968, when Subaru gained its foothold in America when a then-unknown Malcolm Bricklin embarked on the first of his forays into the auto business by importing 6,000 cars into the US from 1968-70. With 20 dealers on the East Coast and 60 in California, the Philadelphia, PA-based Subaru of America was born in 1968.There is a thriving enthusiast community that restores and maintains these cars in America today. The 1968 Subaru 360 has appreciated roughly 250%-$300% in the last 5 years. Haggerty Valuation Tools: #1 Concourse $51,600, #2 Excellent $41,500, #3 Good $25,000, #4 Fair $8,600.We offer this historic and appreciating classic for $19,900. No financing is offered.
