The Original Muscle Car

It's hard to imagine that the Pontiac GTO might never have made it into production. Had it not been for a small group of managers at Pontiac who were also car enthusiasts and visionaries, the GTO might not have been.

Classic Car Overview

Lola started life in 1968 in Michigan. Sold in Baltimore, MD, she was an East Coast car with one owner before being bought and moved to FL in 2010. I am the 3rd owner since 2018. She was a convertible with the standard 400 ci V8 and a 4 speed Turbo-Hydramatic transmission, power steering and brakes, bucket front seats and a center console with a shifter and a deluxe 8-track in a console under the dash. In 2013, the second owner had Lola restored and modified with a frame-off re-build. I have invoices for $100,000 worth of work performed at high-end shops in Atlanta, GA. Frame and chassis were blasted and repainted a brilliant gloss black. Completely new leather interior and trim. New roof which has since been replaced by me in 2020. A complete engine rebuild with conversion from carburetor to a FAST fuel injection system that can be adjusted from a computer in the dash. She has gone from 350 to 500 bop and spins the wheels for fun. New wiring harness. New gauges. Conversion from front discs and rear drums to 4-wheel Bear disc brakes. Finally, the 4-speed auto was changed to a 5-speed Tremco manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. She is not a trailer queen and has been driven so there are some problems that can be easily rectified. I turn 66 in December and no longer have the physical or financial ability to keep-up with this beast of a car. She will thrill and reward her next owner, I am sure!
