1968 Mercury Cougar

This is a very nice 68 Cougar which retains all original panels, 1 repaint it factory original color Augusta Green Poly, basecoat clearcoat, sanded and wheeled smooth, retains all original factory windows in very good condition, side glass chrome window frames are original in excellent condition, drip rail and window moldings are in good condition, at time of repaint had new window felts and weather stripping, new door handles, driver side remote mirror looks like new, original hood and fender moldings are in excellent condition, original grills in excellent condition, headlight doors in excellent condition - which work like they should, front bumper has been re-chromed, wheel well and rocker moldings are original in very good condition, side markers are original in excellent condition, deck lid and quarter moldings are original in excellent condition, original taillights in very good condition - which are sequential and work correctly, re-chromed rear bumper.

Factory Medium Saddle Crinkle interior, dash is all original in excellent condition - no cracks in dash pad, padded dash bezel is original in excellent condition, chrome dash bezels are also in excellent condition, original dash gauge cluster with working clock and showing 62,390 miles, deluxe wood wheel, deluxe pedal package, headliner and sun visors are in excellent condition, front and rear door panels are original in excellent condition, as well as arm rest, original front and rear seats are in excellent condition - with exception of driver side lower has a split seam, factory front and rear seat belts, factory center console in excellent condition, nicely updated with JVC AM/FM stereo, new carpet, deluxe Cougar floormats, new sill plates.

Under the hood we have the original 302, factory aluminum intake, 4 barrel carb, power steering, power brakes, set of long tube headers into 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust out the back in stock location, this strong running 302 is back up with a C4 automatic trans and Ford 9 inch rear, front suspension has been redone - updated with larger sway bar; also updated with rear sway bar, all new stainless fuel and brake lines, new sending unit.
