Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.
Classic Car Overview
Fully restored 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback GT 4 speed manual V8. NO Rust, Florida vehicle! The vehicle is the same year, make, model and color as the famous Steven McQueen Bullitt Mustang. It was stripped to metal, epoxy primed, block sanded and refinished in it's original Bullitt Mustang Highland green color. The interior features original black vinyl bucket seats and it's rarely optioned rear folding split deck. The front lap belts and rear belts were an added option per the original build sheet. According to the framed Marti Report, the vehicle is 1 of 1 per it's factory options. The engine has been upgraded to a Ford small block 347 stroker putting out well over 450hp. The exhaust is a custom fabricated system featuring electric cut out valves, 3 in pipes, and dual Super44 Flowmaster mufflers. The tips are custom made and fabricated. The electric cut out switch is hidden inside of the vehicle allowing the driver to run straight pipes at a flick of a switch! There are numerous upgrades to the suspension, ignition, wiring, cooling, braking, wheels and tires. The vehicle has all new bushings, control arms, power steering, wiring harnesses, custom radiator, cross drilled rotors, American Racing Shelby w/knock off's and BFG tires. Upon completion in 2012, the vehicle took home Best Restoration.
