Classic Car Overview
1968 Ford F250 4x4 Regular Cab $4,500
1968 FORD HIGHBOY F250 4x4
Almost 50 years old this classic truck still runs strong. F26YRD15646 is the VIN number we have on it. It has a 390 engine with a 2 barrel carburetor. (A long block from Napa)
installed in 1995 and the truck sat for at least 10 years after very little use. Estimate mileage 20K on new motor. The
engine does not smoke. It’s a 4 speed transmission with compound low. It has a
new fuel pump & filter, major tune up, new battery , new antifreeze, carb
kit, Odometer reads 35000 miles (we assume it’s 135K?) and it has a clear
title. It includes a slide in trailer hitch in the back. All the gauges work, Headlights, tail & blinkers work, flashers
work, four wheel drive works and has no noises. Main gas tank and dual saddle
tanks. Manual choke. That's all the good stuff, Okay, now the bad stuff, Battery box rusted out, No power
steering, No power brakes, (Hey, it’s a classic!) And they didn't come with power steering then, did they? Radio doesn’t work, small dent in
front bumper as well as hood. See pictures. Dent in tailgate (looks like the tailgate was down and he hit something) see pictures. rear bumper may have been bumped. We are just giving you everything we know! (see pic)
Surface rust on top of cab and bed, door jams have surface rust as well.
Surface rust can be seen on several places throughout the pick up truck but the
only place rust has gotten terrible is the battery box where it actually rusted through. The underneath has been
looked at as well. A picture has been taken there too. The heater is not connected. We don't know why. However, the fan does blow heat for the defrost. The headliner is falling down
and the seat will need replacing as well. The owner of this truck was ill and could not
drive it and that is why it sat for years. It is being sold as part of his
estate. Serious inquires only. More pictures available upon request. An original operators manual included as well as a an old mechanics manual. Cashiers check from a established US bank is accepted method of payment and will be verified. Price is negotiable. Please look at the pictures as they really help to describe it's condition. The outside exterior paint is a dark gray color. Please feel free to ask questions as well. This was my dad's project until he was too weak to drive it and it just sat for years. Now hopefully it can make someone else happy. Thank you. The best way to contact us is through email or phone calls between 9AM and 9PM Pacific time. Price has been lowered to sell. Does run, however I would not drive it a long distance due to the fact the bearings, brakes, etc. have not been checked, looked at. Only had a basic tune up. Sold as is. We have been taking it on short jaunts so finding out a little more about it each time. It's a cool old truck.
