Classic Car Overview
PENDING SALE - INSPECTION CONTINGENCY. This original bodied U100 Ford Bronco 4X4 Wagon is as good as it gets – the second-best original-conditioned rig I have seen with my own eyes! We are the second owner of this beautiful Harbor Blue vehicle, and with it comes all the provenance. The vehicle spent all its life in Arizona until its recent move east. The 170 CID straight 6-cylinder engine is original with under 27,000 miles. The engine, transmission, and all other mechanical and electrical components, including the fuel delivery system have been meticulously maintained, inspected, and repaired when needed by a certified mechanic who specializes in vintage vehicles. This Bronco is turn-key and ready to drive with an engine that runs as quiet as a mouse. Two accessories were added at original point of sale: 1) the front auxiliary 8-gallon gas tank, and 2) the spare tire rack. The original stickers are still visible on the gas caps. This vehicle has been superbly well maintained since the original owner took delivery from the dealer in February 1968 – it has been dry garaged and covered its entire life.
The body and underside metal are pure. Only an index card-sized piece of metal was replaced in the floor. The doors fit as they should – perfect! The “3-on-the-tree” column shifter was converted to a floor shifter 20 to 25 years ago. The grille was repainted in the mid- to late-90s and the tailgate was touched-up at the same time. The hood was touched-up within the last year near the fold-down windshield latch due to some small blistering. The dash was painted in matching Harbor Blue when the hood was done. Other improvements throughout this beautiful Bronco’s life include the addition of disc brakes, power steering, new suspension with small lift (LUBR), rear bumper tow hitch, and updated tires. The interior and rest of vehicle including front and rear quarter panels, doors, hardtop, bumpers, side view mirrors and glass are all 100% original with minimal, but normal, blemishes. The original rims and hub caps are installed and come with the sale – including one on the spare tire! This beautiful rig is a true survivor.
A like conditioned 1977 wagon in Bright Red with approx. 36,000 original miles recently sold on FBM for $85K, albeit with a V8. While the price is negotiable, there is no pressure to sell so serious inquiries and reasonable offers only. Please message for more pics, video, or to make an offer.
