1968 Chevrolet Corvette

This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is one of 80 examples built for the model year that were optioned from the factory with a 427ci L88 V8, an M22 rock crusher four-speed manual transmission, J56 disc brakes, F41 suspension, K66 transistor ignition, and a PosiTraction differential. It was initially delivered to Harte Chevrolet of Meriden, Connecticut, and a refurbishment commissioned between 2003 and 2014 included repainting the car in British Green and reupholstering the cabin in saddle vinyl. A 427ci V8 with an L107 date code casting was installed in the 1990s, and further details include a body-color removable hardtop, 15 Rally wheels, Firestone redline tires, 3.36:1 gears, and a domed hood with an integrated air cleaner. The car earned a Bloomington Bronze classification in 1997, was acquired by the current owner in April 2022, and subsequently given an NCRS Second Flight Award at the 2022 Northwest Regional Meet.
