Classic Car Overview

This 1968 Corvette Convertible was delivered by Mike OConner Chevrolet-Buick in December of 1967 to its proud first owner in Sedalia, Missouri. This is reported to be one of only 624 factory L-89 equipped Corvettes built in 1968, less than half of these are thought to still be in existence. This L71 427ci Tri-Power V8 features the L-89 performance option which upgrades this legendary big block with lightweight aluminum heads, increasing horsepower while reducing weight. This Corvette retains its matching numbers engine and transmission and wears its correct code 983 British Green exterior color. Additional options include a M21 close ratio 4-speed, posi-traction rear axle, AM-FM radio, power brakes, F70x15x2 ply red-stripe nylon tires, rally wheels, transistorized ignition, and the off-road exhaust system option (undercar exhaust upgrade). The exhaustive restoration and preparation for its Bloomington Gold judging was completed in 2007. Truly a beautiful and rare piece of automotive history.
