This Chevelle SS,138 VIN is drop dead gorgeous in its factory color Matador Red with white accent stripes running down both sides and over the header panel. It has been color sanded and polished to a glossy finish. The body is straight down both sides and has excellent fit and finish. Up front: the grill, front bumper and emblems all look new. All the stainless trim is polished. The door handles, mirrors and marker lights have been replaced. The rear bumper, tail light bezels and lenses are also like new. It rides on a set of Chevy Rally wheels with new trim rings and flat center caps,15x7s with 215/65/15 BFG T/A radials in front and 15x8s with 245/60/15 BFG T/A radials in rear for that aggressive stance it deserves.
The red bucket seat interior has been re-done. The bucket seats have been re-upholstered and new foam added to both the front and back seats. It has newer door panels, carpet and headliner. It has the optional roll tach and factory gauge and clock package which all work as they should. Looking at the dash it is nice, all the lenses are clear. The dash pad is in good shape, no cracks. All the knobs and dash vents are in nice condition. It has its factory three spoke wood steering wheel It has a retro AM/FM radio. The vintage A/C and heater controls slide with ease. There are front and rear seat belts and Chevelle carpeted floor mats.
The motor compartment is detailed with its period-correct 396 ci motor, casting number 3969854. It features power steering, Vintage A/C that blows cold and a 4 core aluminum radiator with correct fan and fan shroud. It has a set of Hooker long tube headers, factory chrome valve covers and chrome air cleaner. It has the factory correct cadmium plated brake booster, dual master cylinder and correct spring type battery cables. The engine compartment is finished in gloss black.
The undercarriage is all clean metal and highly detailed with no signs of rust or patches. The front suspension and steering components look good, all new bushings throughout the suspension. The M21 Muncie transmission is clean as well. It has a newer 2.5 dual exhaust system that dumps out the rear with correct cow bell style tips. In the rear is a 12-bolt posi rear end with 3:31 gears. It also features power front disc brakes. It has all new fuel and brake lines, newer front and rear shocks, newer gas tank straps and sending unit. The E-brake assembly is complete and working.
The trunk is all clean metal, no signs of patches. There is new weather stripping. It has a factory trunk mat, spare tire and jack assembly. It is finished with a light coat of Black and Aqua spatter paint.
