Classic Car Overview

When I was a kid, a fellow owned a 1968 Chevelle 396/375hp. He worked at a local gas station at Five Points in Levittown, PA. I would sit on a curb outside the section where I grew up I was 13 years old at the time. He would come out of the gas station onto Woodbourne Roa ? d and rip down the highway, grabbing all four gears. I will never forget the sound of that car. I would always listen carefully to see if he would miss third gear. As I grew up in the business, I tried to save up money to own a car just like it. It took me over 10 years to find a Chevelle with the original drivetrain, because back in the day, people who grew up in that era knew that the 396/375 with the solid-lifter camshaft revved fast, and it was not uncommon to miss a gear and hurt a motor. This is the first car that got me collecting these very rare cars of that era. I bought this car outside of Flint, Michigan, from an older gentleman who worked for GM at the time.
