Classic Car Overview

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro was built to resemble a Nickey 427 coupe by its owner. Highlighting the build is the 496ci V8, which uses a forged steel crankshaft, H-beam connecting rods, Mahle pistons, ARP hardware, a custom-ground hydraulic roller camshaft, Morel hydraulic roller lifters, COMP Cams rocker arms, and Brodix heads. The engine is topped by a Brodix aluminum intake manifold and an Edelbrock carburetor, and it is linked to a rebuilt TH400 with a shift kit as well as a 12-bolt rear end with Mark Williams axles and a 3.73 Positraction differential. The body is painted black with white stripes and features hide-away headlights, an original-style Berryman fiberglass hood, hood pins and light-weight springs, and SS and Nickey badges, and inside is bucket seats with houndstooth accents, a console, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. The car is further equipped with Caltracs traction bars, steel wheels with Mickey Thompson ET Street slicks out back, power-assisted front disc brakes, and Lemons headers linked to a dual exhaust system. This Camaro coupe is now offered on dealer consignment in Oregon with records and a Washington title.
