Classic Car Overview

If you are looking for a daily driver that turns heads, this meticulously restored 1968 Black Camaro is the car.   Originally purchased in 2005 and began two year restoration in 2006 finishing majority of work in mid-2008.   Most of the original car has been replaced or upgraded with the exception of body, frame, and a few notable components and built to be a pro-driver with additional amenities.  Less than 600 miles since restoration and the car has been stored undercover in garage ever since.    More updates and replacements that can be listed but complete list and receipts of all work have been maintained.

383 V8 Stroker Engine with less than 3500 miles (rebuilt in 2002 then further updated in 2007)

TH350 Transmission (rebuilt in 2004) +900 Torque converter

10 bolt 355 Posi Rearend (1969 Camaro)

MSD Super Conductor Ignition System

Black Powder coated subframe, cross member, motor mounts, lower a-arm, core support, radiator grill, and brackets

Front disc brakes with rear drums (all rebuilt during restoration)

All new stainless steel brake lines and SSBC proportioning system

New 650 Holley Thunder Carb in 2009

Global West Tubular A-arms (all new bushings)

Hotchkins performance coil springs (with 2 inch drop)

Koni front and rear shocks

All new body bolts and bushings (stainless steel)

Replated Chrome door handles, rear light bezels, visor brackets, alternator bracket, window trims, hood and trunk latches.

New fuel pump and gasoline tank

All door, window, etc gaskets, seals, and rubber installed new after paint

Everything in the interior has been replaced (carpet, bucket seats, rear seat covers) down to all screws replaced with stainless steel.  Including head liner, arm rests, billet window cranks, and door handles, and new kick panels.  I mean everything with the exception of the rear seats which are re-skinned.

Autowire wiring harness and fuse box installed new along with all lights, switches, and sensors.

Custom center console inspired by original 1968 format

After market security system with auto lock/unlock doors

Three point seat belt harness in front seats

New windshield

2 inch heady exhaust system installed in 2010

New 17" chrome wheels and tires installed in 2012

Original motor had been replaced with a bored out 350 1984 Corvette motor (383 stroker).   The motor was rebuilt in 2002 with all new values, cam shaft, rockers, manifold, headers, fuel pump, water, etc..   The original engine boring and build was completed by the Performance Clinic in Beavercreek, Ohio.  During the restoration in 2006, the motor was fully removed and all seals, value covers, and alternator were replaced.   Shortly after the motor was dyno’d and installed a new carb to improve performance.   All receipts for work and detailed part listing is available.

During restoration the body was taken down to the frame.   Both front fenders were replaced entirely along with the rear deck.   Left quarter panel had to be reskinned and both rocker panels were also replaced.   All other body parts were in good shape with minimal rust and no bondo.  Body is straight and not a single wave.  There is a dent in the driver side rear wheel well from where I took a corner and divot too fast and the wheel hit the body.
