Classic Car Overview

This 1967 Triumph TR4A underwent a body-off refurbishment under previous ownership, with work reportedly completed in 2020. During the restoration, the body was removed from the frame and refinished in white, and the 2.2-liter inline-four was rebuilt. The car is equipped with a four-speed manual transmission, independent rear suspension, dual SU carburetors, a black soft top, and white-finished steel wheels.

The body was separated from the frame prior to refinishing, resulting in a clean presentation in white. Exterior details include a black soft top, chrome grille, door handles, mirrors, and chrome bumpers with overriders. A black top boot is included with the sale. Some cosmetic imperfections remain, including chrome peeling on the rear bumper and pitting on portions of the trim.

The steel wheels were refinished in white and are fitted with chrome hubcaps and an older set of Goodyear tires. The factory spare wheel and tire are no longer with the car. The TR4A retains its desirable independent rear suspension configuration.

Inside, the cabin has been reupholstered in black vinyl with white piping on the seats. The interior presents well overall, with the exception of a blemish on the lower-left corner of the wood dashboard. A wood steering wheel sits ahead of a Lucas ammeter and Jaeger instrumentation, including a 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 77,000 miles; total mileage is unknown.

The rebuilt 2.2-liter inline-four is fitted with dual SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Overall, this TR4A represents a good value for a mechanically refreshed example of Triumphs independent rear suspension roadster.
