Classic Car Overview

Few American muscle cars command as much respect and admiration as the 1967 Pontiac GTO, which has cemented its place in automotive history as an American muscle icon.
Fast forward to the present day, and enthusiasts are finding innovative ways to breathe new life into classics of all types, giving rise to the Restomod movement that combines classic vehicles with modern automotive performance and engineering. The result is nothing short of automotive poetry.
This 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible stands as one such example, and an expertly crafted one at that. On the outside, the ever iconic appearance of the GTO Convertible remains, however, this GTO is equipped with a monster 6.2L LS3 V8 which features an LS9 camshaft, allowing it to produce a total of 517 Horsepower.
A 4L65 Automatic transmission send power to a 3.72 Safe-T-Trac rear end. The sound of the LS3 roars powerfully through a full Hooker exhaust system, while a Cold Case radiator keeps the system cool.
The exterior is painted monotone gold with a matching gold vinyl interior. A new convertible pump ensures smooth top down operation, and the original interior details have been kept intact to maintain the authentic experience of driving this American legend.
Additionally, This 67 GTO Convertible Restomod is equipped with several additional features that modernize its handling and performance. These features include a Hotchkis Suspension with tubular control arms, a CCP 12 to 1 ratio steering box, disc brakes all around, and a Vintage Air A/C system, upgraded from factory.
George Pehanicks Take:
I bought this car in Houston 5-6 years ago. I bought it because I loved the monotone Gold-Gold color combo. It was a good clean, straight rust free car with nice paint, chrome and stainless. I bought it specifically to Restomod. I also wanted a car with factory A/C. All my Restomods are done with brand new GM LS3 Connect and Cruise crate motors and transmissions. These are NOT motors or transmissions pulled out of wrecked vehicles, like a lot of Restomods being sold. The motor has a LS9 cam shaft which gets it 517hp as well as plenty of vacuum. It has a 3.72 Safe-t-Trac (posi-traction) rear end. It has full Summit Hotchkis type tubular suspension. Its one of my favorite Restomods, just great driving car.
Vehicle Equipment:
- Monotone Gold Paint
- Gold Vinyl Interior
- New Convertible Top Pump
- 6.2 LS3 V8 w/LS9 Crankshaft
- 4L65 Automatic Transmission
- Hooker Exhaust System
- 3.72 Posi-traction Rear End
- Hotchkis Tubular Suspension
- 4 Disc Brakes
- CCP 12 to 1 Ratio Power Steering Box
- Cold Case Radiator and Fan
- Vintage Air Upgraded A/C
- Gold Dog Dish Wheels
- BF Goodrich Silvertown Redline Radial Tires
