Classic Car Overview

This real GTO with the original #s matching 400 and 4-speed is absolutely sweet! The factory red with a cool white interior commands attention anywhere you go! EXTERIOR: You really cant beat the looks of this classic! The bright and shiny red paint with white pinstripe really is sharp. The bodys very impressive, its real straight and fits very nicely. Doors shut like a new car. It was born Regimental Red and it was repainted a number of years ago. Its polished to a glass finish although there are some minor imperfections if you go looking for them. The bumpers have been rechromed the rest of the trim is mostly good original. I love the stacked headlights and wire mesh grill. The front windshield has been replaced. The vent window weather stripping is cracking, the door seals were replaced. The white power convertible top was replaced in 2021. It stands tall on a set of polished Torque Thrust wheels with BFG tires. This is a real nice looking exterior that will turn heads everywhere you drive her! INTERIOR: The white interior looks fantastic against the red and actually stays a lot cooler in the sun. Sitting inside the reupholstered bucket seats they are very supportive and comfortable. The door panels match the upholstery of the seats and look absolutely fantastic! The dashboard and tops of the doors have been painted with the body color red and looks super sharp against the white interior. The red dash pad looks to be new without flaws. It has the Rally gauges including a tachometer. Rare Am-Fm radio. The real walnut steering wheel looks great. The red carpeting has been replaced and are protected with GTO mats. The factory center console and Hurst 4 speed shifter both appear to be original and fantastic condition. This is a classy looking interior with a fit and finish that is sure to impress! ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original 400 cubic making 335 hp. It has correct casting codes, dates and WT code. Stock manifolds, carb and valve covers. The engine has also been painted its correct Pontiac blue. It has power steering with fresh looking lines. The radiator has been upgraded with an aluminum unit by Champion. The bottom of the hood, core support, fender wells, and firewall have all been painted neatly with a satin black finish. The brake booster and master cylinder have been replaced. The squirters are hooked up. All the hoses and wires are run appropriately. Overall, this is a good-looking engine compartment that is begging to be ran! TRUNK COMPARTMENT: This is a proper trunk compartment by all standards! Lifting the lid you will instantly notice that the underside has been painted with the same shiny finish and color as the body. A reproduction sticker has been added. The weatherstrip has been replaced. The metal of the trunk pan looks very nice and solid. It has been neatly painted with a factory type spatter paint. It has a rubber mat; full size spare and jack are included. UNDERSIDE: The bottom side is very impressive. It looks like the steering and suspension has been rebuilt. It has fresh shocks and springs in the rear. The brake system has been completely rebuilt and upgraded with disc brakes at all four corners. All the calipers and brake lines look fresh, the e-brake is hooked up. The factory type dual exhaust system has been completely replaced. New fuel tank. Looking up at the motor everything looks clean, neat, and rebuilt with a factory appearance. The Muncie 4-speed manual transmission also looks fresh. The 10 bolt rear end has been neatly painted black and looks good. The floors look to be exceptionally nice and solid. They have been freshened with black paint. This is a nice clean undercarriage that performs as good as it looks! SERVICE: Our team of professional mechanics has thoroughly inspected this vehicle and repaired or replaced the following items: adjusted the choke idle, repaired the backup light plug connection, replaced the oil pressure switch, replaced the speedometer gear, replaced the horn and relay, replaced the left upper control arm, and adjusted the trunk lid latch. This is an incredibly desirable GTO convertible with a 4-speed and great colors. The fact its #s matching makes it a great investment too. Wait, you can have fun and be smart?
