Classic Car Overview

1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible For consignment, a 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible with a title verified 102,316 actual miles. Its a well documented, original car with a brand new vinyl top, and service records going back to 1976. 15,528 convertible Firebirds were produced in 1967, while more than four times as many coupes were made. Exterior One respray of Verdoro Green, this time in two stage quality, covers this pony car and reaches all the way back to the rear fascia to surround the slit style tail lights. Up front, this pre Endura nose is all chrome surrounding the dual headlight like spectacles and coming to the characteristic Pontiac beaked point in the center. Long before the screaming chicken would appear, a bird depicted in more Native American motif adorns the car, appearing on both front fenders and the gas tank door in back. The black canvas top is new and in excellent condition while the 14-inch Pontiac Rally II wheels are ideal and wear PMD branded center caps and 215/70R14 tires. The brightwork on the car is in very nice shape and so is the paint, with a few imperfections noted as a touched up scratch and some areas of bubbling down low. Interior Our consignor states the interior is original and weve got no reason to doubt that. Black vinyl and plastic form shapes and an armrest under a black painted header and above a carpeted kick panel and both doors are in nice shape. Slight patina appears on the drivers bucket seat which is in otherwise great condition along with the back bench and passenger bucket, also in black vinyl with ribbed inserts. The rim of the three spoked steering wheel is wrapped in an aftermarket vinyl cover and caps a column that houses the indicator window and shifter. A 120 mph speedometer and fuel gauge with idiot lights are the main dials ahead of us, while oil and water gauges have been smartly added under the dash. The center stack pops in color with faux woodgrain coverage and is home to a typical vent control panel, an AM radio, and an ashtray. Foreshadowing some wild rides, Pontiac supplies the passenger with a handle above the glovebox to maintain vertical stability while giggling with delight. Black loop carpet and Pontiac rubber mats cover the floor, the headliner is in great shape, and the trunk is clean and lined with a rough cut plaid mat. Drivetrain Clean, driver quality is how we find the 326ci V8 with a 2-barrel carburetor and Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. Power is sent to the 10 bolt axle in the back of course, and power drum brakes occupy the front and rear. Undercarriage Driver quality here too with some surface rust, road dirt, and a film of oil on the pan, but structurally sound and free of invasive rust and grime. A single exhaust runs all the way to the back, finds a stock style muffler, then exit discreetly behind the left rear fender. Suspension consists of coil springs in the front and mono leaf springs in the back. Drive-Ability This green bird takes without much drama and delivers a smooth ride, straight tracking, and very good braking during our trip around the loop. Were riding top up today but long for warmer days when this top can come down and the fun factor is increased exponentially. That said, its still darn fun. Other than wipers, all other functions operate as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. Nearly 90,000 units in 1967 dont make this car rare, but in 2025, an unmolested version certainly is! Were talking single exhaust, 2-barrel carburetor, 2-speed automatic, an AM radio, and column shifter. Wow! Call the Rare Bird Alert, because this is one we dont see every day at Classic Auto Mall, or many other places. There are a few things that are virtually guaranteed: death, taxes, and vintage Firebirds flying out of the mall in short order. This one will light a fire under someones seat, so be sure to be quick on the draw and call the mall in 3...2... 223677U121517 2-Pontiac 23-Firebird 67-Convertible 7-1967 U-Lordstown, OH Assy Plant 121587-Sequential Unit Number TRIM TAG 03C-3rd Week March ST 67 22667-1967 Firebird Convertible BODY LOR3434-Lordstown Body # TR 259Z-Black Custom Vinyl Strato Buckets PAINT Q2-Verdoro Green, Black Top 2W-2 Speed Automatic U-Stereo Tape Player S-Rear Antenna Classic Auto Mall is home to more than 1,000 classic and collectible vehicles for sale via consignment in a climate controlled 336,000-square foot showroom (thats more than 8 acres!).
