1967 Plymouth Belvedere
Coupe Car for sale in Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80212
From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.
The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.
Classic Car Overview
1967 Plymouth Belvedere II - 2dr Hardtop Coupe 8-cyl. 383cid 4bbl Hi-Perf. 727 Transmission with 8 3/4” non-posi rear end. Original motor. Power steering. Factory Chrysler Certicard is still present.
Very clean and reliable driver car. I purchased this vehicle from Tennessee in 2016, the previous owner stored the car in a garage while he owned it for 22 years. It was part a small collection he had and “…it just didn’t get driven much”. Immediately after returning home, my mechanic inspected the car front to back.
New starter, alternator, distributer, ignition coil, plug wires, voltage regulator, alternator belt, power steering belt, fuel filter/hoses and a new fan shroud were installed. The front suspension has been completely restored with all new shocks, bushings, etc. Transmission seals have been replaced as well. Rear drum brakes have been completely gone through and restored to new. New radiator, fuel tank & lines (previous owner).
Performance upgrades include a Holley 670 CFM carb., Mopar intake manifold, hooker headers, Flowmaster dual exhaust, mild cam and a Wilwood front disc brake conversion.
The interior looks excellent! All new Legendary seat covers, headliner & carpet. Original gauge cluster and dash in good condition. Lights on dash do not work.
The exterior is original steel with the exception of a new floor pan on the passenger side. Trunk is original and in great condition. The car was repainted (including engine bay) in 2006 and still looks like excellent! No rust. I have the black vinyl top (uninstalled) and a flat hood without the Hemi scoop. Crome is all original and is in good shape but does show it's age. Factory black wheels with “Plymouth” dog dish caps.
I have a folder filled with receipts from myself and the previous owner. If you’re looking for a beautiful classic mopar that is turn key, this is the car for you!
