Classic Car Overview
Note From Seller :
In June 1966, Oldsmobile made all 54 of the 66 W30s. They were racing against 66 Tri-Power GTOs and winning. Only 17 are known to have survived until today. The only one of those 17 that I have seen go to an auction brought in the $90K-100K at the Mecum Texas auction at the end of 2025.
Due to the success of the 66 W30 Oldsmobiles, for 1967, NHRA changed the rules for cars to qualify to run in a stock class. For 1967, Oldsmobile had to build a minimum of 500 67 W30s. Oldsmobile built just 500 in February-March 1967 plus four pilot cars in January. Most all were used up drag racing. That is the main reason why only roughly 53 exist today. But, a few were street driven and survived. Our 67 W30 accumulated over 96K Miles on the street before receiving a frame off restoration in 2007-2009. It then went into a private museum in Texas where it stayed until I acquired it in 2026.
