Classic Car Overview

Hello I am selling my beautiful one of a kind Restomod

1967 Mercury Cougar "Goldcat".

This car has had a complete rotisserie style restoration and has been completely refurbished. The car has been driven approximately 5,000 miles since restoration completion. I have near $60,000 In parts receipts alone on a clip board. The Golden cat has won multiple best of show and best engine trophies and has also been published as feature car in a magazine. I have enjoyed the car immensely and have owned it for near 10 years and am now looking to find it's next care taker. As you can imagine there are many things that go into a restoration of this caliber so I will try to include most meaningful items performed.

Interior- Seats reupholstered and re foamed. Custom leather wrapped door panels w/lights, custom leather wrapped center console with custom tachometer and custom shifter, new carpet, new headliner, Gauge pillar pod with water temp and boost/vacuum gauge, custom steering wheel, new door sill plates, package tray w/ 6x9 speakers, Classic sounds stereo.

Body- Car was in the body shop for over a year getting prepped for 3 stage House of Kolor pagan gold candy paint, Over $20,000 spent on body and paint. All the exterior trim and moldings have been re-chromed or polished. All emblems have been replaced. The bumpers and headlight/taillight grilles have been re-chromed. Vehicle had new floor pans and torque box installed. Subframe connectors welded in. Electric headlight door conversion eliminates shakey original vacuum actuated system. LED tail light conversion. New fuel tank and the battery has been re located to the trunk.

Suspension- New upper and lower control arms w/ball joints installed, Koni shocks up front, KYB in rear. Custom strut tower brace, new coil springs in front and new leaf springs and shackles in rear. New idler arm, inner and outer tie rod ends and strut rod bushings. New oversized front sway bar.

Brakes- Wilwood Drilled rotors and 4 piston calipers, stainless steel flexible brake lines. Fully rebuilt drum brakes in rear including new shoes, drums springs and wheel cylinders.

Engine- Ford 302 Roller camshaft block stroked to 347CI. engine was built professionally by Pauls empire head shop. GM 4-71 supercharger currently running 5 psi of boost in street trim. Blower was recently overhauled by FIST. Quick fuel 750cfm blower carburetor. Edelbrock mechanical fuel pump with 3/8" stainless fuel line. Race tec forged blower pistons at 8.5-1 compression ratio. Edelbrock performer RPM cylinder heads with 2.02 intake valves. Custom ground hydraulic roller blower grind camshaft from Snyder cams with aluminum roller rocker arms. Short tube headers with full custom 2.5" dual exhaust. Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers. MSD distributor with boost timing master controller. Polished radiator with high flow water pump. Custom laser engraved "Golden cat" valve covers.

Transmission- Tremec TKO 600 5 speed with centerforce clutch and clutch cable conversion. New custom length driveshaft.

Rear end- Powdercoated 9" rear from quick performance with Eaton true trac differential. 3.25 gear ratio.

There is probably much more I am forgetting to mention but I do have all the receipts on a clip board. The car was built to be a fun street car and drives very well down the road. If you are looking for a Custom one off Cougar this is a pretty sweet ride. If you would like to discuss details feel free to contact me.
