Classic Car Overview

This vehicle is located at our Indianapolis facility - 2461 Reeves Rd #194, Plainfield, IN 46168

This 1967 Lincoln Continental delivers the unmistakable presence and luxury that made these full-size Lincolns icons of the 1960s. Finished in a classic white exterior with a contrasting black convertible top, the car has an elegant, formal appearance that suits its long, low profile perfectly. Chrome trim, distinctive body lines, and the Continentals signature rear-hinged suicide doors give it a look that remains instantly recognizable more than half a century later.

Inside, the Continental features a blue leather interior that provides a great contrast against the white exterior. The spacious cabin represents Lincoln luxury at its best, with generous seating, extensive brightwork, and the power accessories expected from the marques flagship model. These cars were built to make a statement, and few American convertibles of the era offer the same combination of size, comfort, and dramatic styling.

Power comes from Lincolns 462ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission, providing the smooth, effortless power delivery these Continentals were known for. Power steering and power brakes further contribute to its relaxed cruising character. The 1967 Continental Convertible is particularly desirable today, representing the final model year for the four-door Continental convertible and one of the most distinctive luxury automobiles produced during the decade.

As with many vintage Lincolns equipped with extensive power accessories, there are several electrical and convenience items that will require attention. The passenger-side taillight/turn signal is currently inoperative, the power door locks do not function, and the passenger-side front window and power vent windows are also inoperative. The convertible-top motor appears to be receiving power; however, the top will not complete its cycle and come all the way down. The exact cause has not been diagnosed and could involve one of the numerous switches, sensors, relays, or other components within the Continentals complex power-top system.

Because these items have not been fully diagnosed, the vehicle is being offered as-is, with the convertible-top and electrical systems requiring further inspection and repair by the next owner. For someone familiar with these sophisticated Lincoln systems or looking for a striking Continental to improve over time this 1967 example offers the desirable combination of a white and black exterior, blue leather interior, four-door convertible body, and unmistakable 1960s American luxury.
