Classic Car Overview

Elvis Presley - This 1967 Lincoln Continental 4-Door Hardtop (VIN 7Y82G833880) boasts a unique history, as it was purchased by Elvis Presley for his father, Vernon Presley. Elvis and Vernon used the car for drives around Memphis and long trips to destinations like Las Vegas and California. The car was originally purchased from Schilling Motors, Inc. in Memphis, TN, and was driven frequently by both Elvis and Vernon. Elvis particularly favored this model for his Vegas trips with his Memphis Mafia, as it allowed them to take turns driving.

This Lincoln is exceptionally well-documented, as shown in the included photos. The sale comes with a photo of Elvis with Priscilla Presley and Charlie Hodge, as well as a Certification Letter from Priscilla Presley verifying Elvis's purchase and use of this vehicle. Additional items include the original sales brochure, owner's manual, a copy of the original title, bill of sale, and more (see photos). All documents will be provided without the COPY watermark.

History Highlights:

In the early 1980s, the car was purchased by Mike Moon of Georgia, who displayed it at the Elvis Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN, for 40 years. In 2019, it was sold to a private collector before its current acquisition. After decades of being on display and rarely driven, the car underwent significant mechanical updates, including an engine and transmission rebuild, as well as work on the brakes and fuel system. These updates were completed by the previous owner.

Currently, this historic Lincoln is on display at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI, noted as the largest automobile museum in North America. Photos of the car at the museum are included.

This is a rare opportunity to own a genuine piece of rock and roll history-a car personally purchased and driven by Elvis Presley. Imagine sitting behind the wheel of this Lincoln, reliving the excitement of Elvis's journeys.
