1967 Jeep CJ-5

The Jeep has the sought after v6 engine, is street legal, and a solid body and frame.
Upgraded for better off and on road performance.

I have owned this jeep for 12 years, and during that time I have made almost all of the sought after upgrades to make this classic jeep more enjoyable to drive and explore back roads, while working hard to keep the vintage look. I used this for hunting in remote/rough areas, so focused on dependability rather than pretty paint.

I have made the following drivability upgrades:
1. Holly sniper fuel injection for easy starts regardless of temp (but will include carburetor if computers aren't your thing).
2. HEI ignition, to avoid original points/condenser style.
3. installed power steering, with a tilt steering wheel
4. Installed an overdrive due to low axle gearing
5. Suspension seats (daily driver type not aggressive racing type)
6. Modern retractable 3pt seat belts
7. Usb and 12v cig chargers
8. It is set up for flat towing with integrated wiring for lights, and a rear lockout hubs which can be unlocked in seconds rather than removing driveshaft. Tow bar included. Very handy because you don't need a trailer.
9. For tall drivers, I moved the driver seat back and installed an early 70's cj windshield for higher sight line.
10. replaced 9 gal underseat fuel tank to rear 15 gallon tank for more range and reduce gas smell
11. Bikini top which can be used with windshield up or down.
12. Disk brakes front, larger drums rear with parking brake.

I have made the following off road/back country exploration upgrades:
13. Rocky Road suspension lift to convert to wider Jeep YJ old man emu springs. This is the softest riding suspension you can get, which is very nice on old jeeps.
14. 33x10.50 BFG mud terrains
15. replaced the front axle with a stronger axle from a late 70's CJ5, with tighter turning radius and added an electronic selectable diff locker, 5.38 gears
16. Rear custom full floating axle with an electronic selectable diff locker, 5.38 gears. (comes with spare shafts)
17. Swapped in 4 speed transmission with granny gear
18. Roll cage.
19. Overhead Molle panel for storage, and underseat lockbox
20. Swing out tire carrier with ammo can storage, highlift mount, and a water/gas can basket.
21. Warn 8274 winch (very sought after because it holds 50' more wire, and is much faster than other winches)
22. D-Ring shackle points front and rear.
23. Off road lights front and rear, and dome light.
24. Rock rail/steps
25. Gun rack


It is almost 60 years old, so has some drips, bruises, character and maintenance demands of an anything that age.
