One unique and irreplaceable feature is the dash with original autographs by Carroll Shelby, Phil Remington, and Bob Bondurant.
The powertrain was built using proven Ford engine strategies. The Ford Racing V8 is based on a 351 block bored and stroked to 427 cubic inches. The Boss 351 block is filled with a SCAT forged steel crankshaft, SCAT H-beam connecting rods, ARP fasteners, and forged Mahle pistons with floating wrist pins. The cylinder heads are Ford Racing aluminum Z2 units (M-6049-Z2), with 2.02 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust. The hydraulic roller camshaft checks in at .594/.618 lift and 242 /248 duration (@.050 in). The compression ratio is 10.5:1 (nominal). Horsepower rings the bell at 535 @ 5600 rpm (498 at the wheels), with torque coming in at 545 lb.ft. @ 4500 rpm (535 at the wheels). The engine will be a hit with the hood raised on car show days as well, with a March pulley system, finned Ford Racing 427 Cobra valve covers, and careful underhood detailing.
The engine is teamed with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission for maximum driving fun. The 9-inch Traction-Lok rear end with 3.73 gearing launches the car with authority. The Heidts coilover front suspension and wide wheels with low-profile tires keep this Mustang planted through corners in a way that a stock Mustang never could.
