LARRY'S LEGEND LIVES

Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there's been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.

1982 Mustang GT

Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.

Classic Car Overview

1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. First year second generation. 32,700 original miles. Deluxe Marti Report. Built San Jose, CA, on 11/8/1966, sold Tucson, AZ. Remained in AZ until we had it shipped to MA in February 2016. Engine code C: 289/2bbl Holly - 200HP/282ft-lbs torque, factory AC (works, cold), automatic on floor (2.80-1 standard final drive), front disc brakes, Deluxe 21-spoke wire wheel covers, sport steering wheel, and AM push button radio (works). We've added a NOS electric clock and a passenger side mirror. We have put about 2500 miles on it; the car has had tune up in November 2018, subsequent routine maintenance, and everything works. When we got it we had the heater box, passenger door hinge, some wiring fixed, and we replaced several hoses. Car averages 16mpg on 89 unleaded. Car has been restored while in AZ, and was repainted in the original color, Code B, Frost Turquoise. Only 2% of 1967 Mustangs were painted in this color - 9,700 of 274,000 made.

NADA average value is $28,000 and high is $39,000. Asking $25,000. We're getting older and will just use my 1955 Pontiac; time for someone else to enjoy this classic piece of Aericana.
